With this sort of budget I would recommend waiting until January when the 7000X3D chips come out. This should retake the top spot of gaming CPUs. We'll also have AMD's flagship GPUs released by then as well, which should give you better choice and hopefully a bit more bang for your buck.
If you could read the above and provide the information stated within it it gives us a bit more information that we can use to optimise your build. You’ve made a good first attempt but it could do with some changes and until we know what we are speccing in mind for we can’t make those changes.
Build above looks good, but I would probably recommend the 3070 over the 3070ti. The 3070ti is £135 more expensive at the moment and doesn’t offer much additional performance; my general rule of thumb is that it isn’t worth going for unless the price difference is ~£50.
Just my two cents, either...
Hi there!
Glad you’ve got a solid 8 years out of your previous rig, it really goes to show that if you spec it right it does do the distance!
Do you have any uses in mind besides gaming? E.g streaming, editing, animation etc
What monitor are you pairing this with? The 2060 pairs nicely with...
Moved to a more robust motherboard, swapped secondary m.2 out for a faster gen 4 drive that's actually cheaper, and beefed up the PSU to handle transient power spikes and also support a GPU upgrade down the line.
Dropped the Monitor too as it's only 60hz so isn't ideal for gaming. This 4k 144hz...
Hi folks,
With it being Black Friday I am debating whether the time is right to invest into some VR.
I can currently nab a 128GB Meta Quest 2 with Beat Saber and Resident Evil 4 for £349 as a Black Friday deal.
From the people on here who have bought into VR, would you say that this is a good...
With Black Friday coming up it's a great time to be monitor shopping, and we've got some mega value deals at the moment.
The VG27AQ1A is at £219 on Currys which is incredible value for a 1440p, 165hz, IPS display.
Case
LIAN LI LANCOOL 215 GAMING CASE
Processor (CPU)
AMD Ryzen 5 5600 Six Core CPU (3.5GHz-4.4GHz/35MB CACHE/AM4) Ample for gaming, and going with those over other options means we can cut back on cooling a little.

ASUS® TUF X570-PLUS GAMING WIFI (USB 3.2 Gen 2, PCIe 4.0, CrossFireX)...
Power Supply
CORSAIR 850W RMe SERIES™ MODULAR 80 PLUS® GOLD, ULTRA QUIET Absolute minimum I would recommend with power spikes and future upgrades in mind. If you opt for the 3080 I would go for a 1000W PSU.
Power Cable
1 x 1.5 Metre UK Power Cable (Kettle Lead, 1.0mm Core)

Original spec came in at £2240, this is a little cheaper and a bit more well rounded.

LIAN LI LANCOOL 215 GAMING CASE Better airflow case

AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D Eight Core CPU (3.4GHz-4.5GHz/100MB CACHE/AM4) Best CPU for flight sims, and smashes out every game you chuck at it...
Hi there,
Not a bad attempt but there's definitely areas for optimisation.
What is your budget?
Any uses besides gaming? e.g streaming, editing, animation etc
What monitor are you pairing this with?
Please could you add the config link as detailed below, it'll help us make some edits for you...
What’s the budget for the system?
Do you know the resolution of the TV? Assuming 1080p but handy to know.
Please can you also post the config link as below:

If you have the budget, and are happy with something in the 42-43 inch range I would opt for the OLED model. Currently reduced to £950, could go lower on BF/CM.
I would strongly recommend cancelling, reading the link posted above, and getting some advice on here. At present you have an underperforming, 2 generation old CPU that was bad when it came out and will melt with that cooler/case combo.
Storage is underwhelming, PSU is worryingly low; for this...
Samsung are putting a lot of work into their Black Friday deals! While we generally advocate pushing for 1440p with a new build we do also recognise that not everyone has the budget for this. The Samsung G3 is a very solid, 1080p 165hz IPS display, and can currently be bagged on Amazon for £109.
Hi there,
Pretty solid spec but there are some areas I would adjust.
What is your budget for the system?
Any specific games besides rocket league you have in mind? That’s not a hugely demanding title, but we can definitely spec with other games in mind if necessary.
What monitor are you pairing...
Build with the PSU switched in looks really good!
One other suggestion I would make is to potentially consider a new monitor, but this does depend on what games you play. For slower paced, turn based games such as company of heroes 60hz is ample, but if you want to dip your toes into any first...
