Looks good. The only change I'd suggest is to increase to power supply at least to the TX650m. That will give you more capacity to upgrade the graphics card in a few years' time. Otherwise, it could have been a build I'd make myself!

Build with the PSU switched in looks really good!
One other suggestion I would make is to potentially consider a new monitor, but this does depend on what games you play. For slower paced, turn based games such as company of heroes 60hz is ample, but if you want to dip your toes into any first person or action titles having a monitor capable of a higher refresh rate does make a noticeable difference.
Especially with Black Friday coming up and some monitor deals starting to pop up, it’s a nice time to consider an upgrade.

Thanks for the input mate.
I have changed the PSU toTX750m just to be on the safe side.

I was planning to get new monitor for my daughter (same as the one I have), but after your advise, I think ill get one for myself and give her mine.

I just need to decide whether to go for a flat or curved monitor. ( my current one is curved, but the flat ones are cheaper)

Thanks again!
Kind regards

It depends (a) what you're willing to spend and (b) what you want from the monitor.

For a 1080p display (i.e. what would match your build) the MSI G241 would probably be ideal. Personally I have no idea why anyone would prefer a curved display, but I realise many do!

Great shout. That's a remarkable price.
I'm low-key obsessing that the Samsung G3 is £109 at the moment. Flat IPS panel, and at that price is an absolute steal!
Crazy good price. Give Samsung their dues, they may be VA panels, but at the price point, it's almost impossible to say that's a bad thing.

I actually assumed it would be a TN panel at that price, I can't believe they've managed to do a VA so cheap, it's incredible.

You really don't want 32" at 1080p, it will look absolutely awful, you'll be able to see every pixel, would strongly recommend against it.

For 1080p, 24" is optimal, for 1440p it's 27", for 4k it's over 32"

well.., 24" is kind of small.
4k @32" are too expensive.
I will have a look for 1440p see what I can find.
thanks a lot pal.

Thing it you have to be aware that the GPU drives the monitor, for 1440p you need a far more powerful GPU really. It will handle older games ok, but not newer ones (say from last 5 years)

This is why you have to match the PC all the way through to balance it and get optimal performance, otherwise you get bottlenecks and although you're paying enough for a certain level of performance, you'll never achieve it because various components and holding the rest of the build back.

Some people go 27" for 1080p, to me it looks pretty dreadful but it may be ok for you. I'd say it would be a better experience than a lacklustre 1440p one.

I see..,
I guess ill have to go for 24" and get the optimal experience.

I had a video card upgrade back in the day without getting better monitor and I wasn't impressed with the results.., until I had to get a new monitor a couple of years later and my, oh my, what a difference it made.
it all ads up now when you explained it.
thanks

and just to explore all my options:
what GPU would I need for the 27" 1440p and would it require any other change to the build above?
thanks in advance

You'd want the 3060 Ti, the 3070, or the 6700XT. With a stronger power supply as previously discussed, they'd all be completely fine with the rest of the build.

quick update:

I think ill settle for the 24" 144hz monitor, after watching some reviews - the frame rate seems much better.
I am also gonna switch to the RTX 3060 Ti (with 750watt PSU) over the RS6600

Again, the pairing is not matched. The 3060ti is overpowered for 1080p, will make zero difference to the 3060 as the 1080p monitor is the bottleneck.

If going for 1080p then just get the 3060

which pair would be better:
3060 with 24" 1080p monitor or 3060ti with 27" 1440p monitor?

apologies if I come across too thick.
