I cannot see it being 10 days

The wait is tough, no doubt about it. However, it is a wait well worth it. I waited and longed for delivery of my PC. Well worth the wait, Mrs Peel (that's what I've called her) arrived on Tuesday 24th. She's a thing of beauty:)

I'll post a review and pics in the relevant forum...

When did you order it? :)

Cheers. Did you have any delays? (like out of stock parts, errors in testing etc.)

No delays due to the stuff you mentioned. I amended my order after it went into building and I think that delayed delivery. Probably by around a week. But the PC is built so well and looks so good, I can't bring myself to say anything negative. While I did feel the frustration of waiting, I called PCS a couple of times hoping to speed the process up, i'm so pleased with my PC any delay was more than worth it. And to be honest I don't think my build time was unreasonable. This was my second buy from PCS and both times I've been delighted. When I replace my laptop, imminently, i'll buy it off PCS too. Their kit is top drawer.

I ordered my pc on the 28/12/11 i believe & was in pre-production for 21 days because of unavailable parts & me changing my order, my pc was built yesterday & is into the testing phase, just goes to show how popular PCS are, having to build so many computers throughout the day must be a nightmare. Their support staff have been nothing but helpful & professional to me, ive got a sealed version of skyrim waiting to play when my pc arrives.
Its not the end of the world to wait a few more days, i'm sure it'll be well worth it when mine arrives.

I've been monitoring this forum and you may notice that delludus has gone quiet now. That's because his order was dispatched yesterday - the order took 12 working days. Brucechich is on 11 working days and "In Testing".

All orders are treated faily and we thank our forum members for being patient whilst we are busy.

Are the estimate in working days then? As the estimate for Pre-Production says >1 week and the overall estimate is 13 days. Is that 13 working days or 13 actual days?

Estimates are in working days.
So an estmate of 13 working days is about two and a half weeks in real terms (since there are 5 working days per real week).

So where it has all the lead times and has different ones for Desktops, Laptops and Mini-PCs, the estimates are working days? It's a bit confusing as it doesn't say working says and the graph underneath doesn't use working days (for example, pre-prod says >1 week. A week contains both working and non-working days).

well

I just got my laptop after 7 working days. It's sat at home and can't get to it till tomorrow. It got built so fast I'm worried it hasn't been tested.

(You just can't win PCS!)

The lead time estimates that are given in working days are updated daily (or something like that) to show current estimated times.

The order status guide is a rough guide as to what happens and a rough guessimate as to how long each stage might take, it is not updated daily, and should not be taken as a 'this is the max time it will take' for a particular stage.

Did you choose fast track?

Didn't the guy who ordered one day before you just have his go in to building, meaning yours should have gone in soon anyway?

I wouldn't wait 10+ working days and THEN pay for fast track.

I didnt have a choice, mine was held up because a hd was out of stock so it wouldnt let me fast track it but when it came back in stock and just sat there for days in pre-production not moving and then seeing other posts about people waiting 21 days for there pc I thought what the hell just do it, people were putting my build back by fast tracking theres, well thats the way I saw it. he who shouts loudest seems to have had his fast tracked, im not like that.

Nope, didn't fast track. However looking at the build times I can only assume that laptops are easier to build what with the far fewer options they have compared to a tower.
