I cannot see it being 10 days

Well. If it doesn't change until tomorrow, i will cancel the order and will ask for my money back. I will buy the parts and build it myself in 1 hour.
And for the first time when i called them they told me 7 days.

PCS are actually very busy atm, many people have bought there PCs now with money they received from christmas, whereas you got a better deal if you ordered before because in the few weeks leading up to christmas they were working pretty much 24/7 and mine was build in just 7 working days!

It seems a bit random to be honest. I don't have any parts out of stock, and mine is in pre-production. Yet a guy ordered his 0 working days before mine and has had his a few days already.

He may have used the fast track option.

I dont mind if they are busy if they say so. but before i ordered i checked around and called them. they told me 7 days. That was misleading and if they would say 25 days at first i would have ordered it with fasttrack. but after 10 days iam not gonna pay £60 extra. i will cancel and buy it on my own...

I'm sure it will be with you soon, just to note though, the 7 days was a an estimate.

If u calculate with the minimum times, its 1 day building, 1 day testing, 1 day qc, and 1 day delivery. Which means next monday. Which is 14 working days, 19 normal days for me.

If u calculate with the max times, its 3 days building, 2 days testing if no prob, 2 days qc if no prob 1 day delivery.
Which is 18 working days, and 25 days for me...

I wouldnt say thats "soon" if i need to work with it...

if you want to stick with it, stick with it, you should have known what you were getting into and that it could take up to a month and if you needed your PC so urgently, you should have ordered fast-track

you will honestly be missing out on great customer support etc if you decide to go to overpriced Dell or something like that, no other custom builders have a reputation as high as PCS

you can't blame PCS for being busy and the average building time has gone up, but you wont see an immediate effect on this number as it is the past 28 days

You keep moaning about it.. If you're that fed up with it taking a while, why not go somewhere else, or cancel the order and fast track it?

I honestly can't see why you're posting this, i get it that you're peeved that it's taking a while, but other than ringing up PCS, what more can we suggest for you?

Most of the time building, testing and QC do go through in a couple of days.
14 working days is just over the average at the moment, since PCS are busy.

I suspect the person you talked to (who said 7 days) may have been mistaken over what you were ordering or just plain made a mistake, and as we all know, mistakes do happen

I wouldnt say thats "soon" if i need to work with it...
Although you're probably not going to appreciate my next comment, this is exactly what fast track is for.
Why would anyone pay for fast track if a normal build would be almost as fast :)

I dont hate your comment, but it works the opposite way too.
Why would i pay for fasttrack, if they say 7 days, and the site says 10? :)

Thats how i was thinking when ordered. Otherwise i would get fasttracking. :)

summarise...

Okay. Hi all.

Lets get this started.
I will write down, what i experienced in the last 11 days.
But first let me tell you how i feel.
I feel like being tricked into a nice theft.
And i also thinking about going to the court.
No,i dont care about other forum users opinion anymore, since they are naive, and have nothing to do with the company as i see.

First. Before i ordered i asked pcs about the time, when i will get my pc on the phone.
Got a 7 days answer.
The website said 7-10 days, so i believed and ordered.
Then after 7-8 days i started to feel nervous, so i asked on this forum, and i got a response that my VGA is out of stock and i should change it to speed up the process.
So i did that.
Still on the 10th day nothing changed.
Today went to the helpdesk asking what happened, and got the answer they are busy.
Ok. I can understand that but they didnt know 11days before, they are busy?
So i asked what happens if i cancel my order.
Now here is the trick, the ripoff. They told me the cancellation fee is £40... the fasttrack is also £40...
And they told me if i cancel within 30 days then i have to pay the cancellation fee...
They told me 7 days. They couldnt do it and when i am asking for my money back i have to pay????
What the hell?

Dudes i absolutely dont know where is your good reputation coming from but i think its just made up by bribing people or absolutely naive ones...

All summarised i will not get my pc for 30days, but they took my money, and they can do whatever they want with it...

(Maybe the pc is already done, they are just putting the money into a bank for a bit of quick interest... i could imagine.)

As already stated they are obviously very busy at the moment, now that the HDD is in, hopefully your machine should go into building very soon.

I just want to remind/inform you that although the forums are a great source of support and information from the many excellent users that give up their free time to do what they can and help out those looking for support. The forums are not an official channel for support. I understand your worry, but we have all had to be patient. Trust me you will be happy with your pc when it arrives.

Literally thousands of excellent reviews, and very rarely (as with any company) a couple of bad ones. And you think WE are naiive?

Delludus - Your order is being processed as we speak and going into building. As the terms and conditions you agreed to at the time of ordering, pcspecialist have up to 30 days to provide the order and if they are not able to and you wish to cancel then you may do so with no charge, however if you cancel the order before hand and the system has gone into production then there would be a £30 charge + VAT (£36).

The lead time on the website is an estimate working taken from orders dispatched over the past 2 months. This is not a guarantee for it to be delivered but an estimate on when you are likely to get it.

Hello there Delludus, I spoke to you on the phone earlier regarding your order. I do agree that you should have started your own thread for this particular matter, as you had your own point to make. Also using **** indicates swearing and is no more poilte than swearing itself.

We have explained to you the nature of what has happened with your order, unfortunately, we have had an unprecedented amount of orders this month and we have had to extend the lead time, bearing in mind your order is currently on its 11th working day I advised that due to the delay on the estimated leadtime we were priotising your order on a Fastrack basis and it would be built ASAP. It has already entered building.

We understand your frustration with the matter, and we have repeatedly apologised for it, we are currently doing everything we can to get it out for you.

However, I must point out, when you bought the computer, as others have said, you agreed to terms and conditions, you also accepted the the lead time given was an estimation based on computers being dispatched over the last 2 months, and this timescale was never guaranteed for you. By agreeing to the terms you also agreed that under expcetio9nal circumstances we have 30 days to dispatch it.

Now that the system is in built as you requested it to be put through faster with myself, you would now be succeptible to the charge I'm afraid, but the computer should be dispatched within the next 1-2 working days.

Again, I apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused, but unfortunately these things can happen, and this is why the lead time is not guaranteed.

Thank you for your reply. As i said a thanks a few times, i have to say again, i appreciate your help.
And the funny things, i called them up 20 min ago telling them, iam going to the court.
Guess what happened. My pc went into building stage right now.

Now there are 2 things i can imagine.

1.: they just sped up my process because my insistance.(i truly hope this is the case)
2.: they know they do something wrong and trying to correct it now that i realized it.
