I placed my order the 16th January however I made quite a lot of amendments to my original order and I was told this may delay my order by at least a couple of days. So by the 10th working day it went to "in building".

Thank You.I also placed order in 16th lol I done 2 amendments.I hope my pc will go to "in building" tomorrow.

I made 12 amendments but I think it is more to do with whether the items you ordered are currently in stock or not, I am not going to do any further changes, I am now charge £5 for any further changes. :)

12 amendments - that's a lot a decision making and that puts you in the top 10 "order amenders" ever! Still it doesn't beat our record of 19 amendments...

And no that's NOT a challenge for anyone to try beat! :)

I had 15 ammendments to my order so I nearly beat the record, my build is still in quality control, so 24 working days in total, good thing I'm patient

Mine's just moved into Testing (last night it was still in building, didn't think anyone would be working at PCS this early....)
Still, when it's only on the 6th working day, I'm definitely not complaining. Just hope it comes by the weekend

Morning,
How long was your order "in building"? and do you get an email to let know the testing phase?

Morning Ruben, it entered the building phase at 2:24pm on Jan 27th. And I got the email at 7am this morning to say it was now in testing.
I think I've just been very lucky that all of the parts I've ordered have been in good stock.

Well my build now has a storage problem in quality control, but they are fixing it & hopefully it may be dispatched today, I've lost count of the days now, I had 2 missing items from my order which didn't help either

Okay... I'm a little worried that mine might be getting rushed through the system now. It's just moved into the QC phase, which if my emails are correct, means that it has had a maximum of 4 hours of testing.

This is my 3rd day in quality control, id rather they were thorough with their testing before they dispatch it

You did say there was a storage problem though, so that's why it's been in there for 3 days.
My concern is that mine is just being rushed. We'll see how long it's in QC, but I'm worried that 4 hours of testing isn't thorough...

Remember that QC is more than likely the real testing of the machine, so don't be worried.
Also I'm not sure that when you get the mails saying its in the next stage is the exact timing of said stage change, its when the stage was updated on the system - disclaimer: I think this is the case, obviously I don't know the exact workings, but I think this is how it works - I could be wrong

You're most likely right on the "don't worry" front.
As for when the system's update and the email notification gets sent, I think it's basically around the same time. I had checked my status very late last night and it was still in building, first thing this morning it moved to testing and I got an email saying the same.

It is the same, its automated so that when the stage updates an email gets sent, however what I meant was that the update to the system to tell it that its in the next stage will be done by a PCS person and that may not be done at the exact time of said stage change :)
