In that case, when you reinstall, choose a custom install and delete all partitions on the drive. Then select (highlight) the unallocated space that results and click the Next button, the installer will create the appropriate partitions and install Windows.
One it's installed and you've run through the initial setup, run Windows Update repeatedly (and after reboots if you're asked to reboot) until no more updates are available. This will install all necessary update.
You should check with the Nvidia website for an updated driver for your graphics card afterwards.
And, as SpyderTracks says, don't install any other software until you're certain that everything is working properly.
