sorry bout that.Normal doesn’t mean anything to me.
Have you installed the nvidia driver?sorry bout that.
right now they're what i expect to see: 45ish on idle on both cpu and gpu.
im gonna start a game and see what they're like, one sec.
yes i got the latest one on geforce experienceHave you installed the nvidia driver?
we know it’s not normal, that’s why we’re troubleshooting.oh and, the laggy behaviour is not gone.
i started the game and every other app is slow as hell, this is abnormal, i repeat abnormal, as it does not lag when i'm playing. hell even palying music is impossible when playing, the game freezes if i leave a youtube video running in the background at 144p (YES. 144p)
its from the rockstar games launcherwe know it’s not normal, that’s why we’re troubleshooting.
This is what windows troubleshooting is all about. You have to go through basic steps to identify where the error is.
Just out of interest, where did you install the game from?
Can you supply a link?its from the rockstar games launcher
uh, no? you'd have to download their launcher and get the game etc...Can you supply a link?
thank you for explaining that. i reinstalled the game. was a nightmare this monster is 117 gb.With troubleshooting there are only 2 basic parts:
1. identify the problem. This is the most important thing and will often naturally lead to a solution, but if not, at least you know the cause so you can effectively communicate with 3rd party support (PCS) for their benefit.
2. Implement a solution. Again, this is easier than most people assume and normally means googling a few basic things:
description of symptoms, or error code if given.
If you see a problem and just focus on that being a problem rather than step by step working towards a solution you’re not going to get anywhere.
I have to be honest, I don’t think a custom laptop is going to be best for you. You’re going to have to troubleshoot a lot! Often there are buggy windows updates which cause issues, you’ll have to take the laptop apart regularly to clean it and repaste it.
When I asked for a link to the game client it was to identify you are downloading from a reliable source. Furthermore it was to identify how you installed the game, if it was from a backup or actually by redownloading it fresh which is what you need to do.
These are all very basic troubleshooting steps that you’re going to have to understand if you’re going to get the most out of that laptop.
i believe i will take your words as a push to change my approach and adopt troubleshooting as opopsed randomly floundering every time i have a problemWith troubleshooting there are only 2 basic parts:

That was the gentle intention. Don’t panic, don’t see it as a problem, but rather an opportunity to work to a solution and learn in the process.i believe i will take your words as a push to change my approach and adopt troubleshooting as opopsed randomly floundering every time i have a problem
ITS OFFICIALLY PANIC TIME.That was the gentle intention. Don’t panic, don’t see it as a problem, but rather an opportunity to work to a solution and learn in the process.
It does take some learning, but it’s fun and evermore useful in all areas of life. And you’ll get an awful lot more out of gaming because it will lead you into mods and custom hacks which in itself is another league to pc gaming.
okay the following is what i did:-Where did you get the graphics driver from? You said GeForce experience but where did you install that from? Link please.
