PCSPECIALIST Corsair K95 Platinum RGB (Cherry MX Brown)

Just ordered one of these and a M65 Elite mouse (also with big discount). I have been after a new keyboard for a while and this should fit the bill.

PCSPECIALIST Does this build seem compatible or are there things that need improving?

It isn’t the ASUS Turbo in the build, but he Dual That was much more expensive. There is always the option to wait, but who knows what will happen to prices?

PCSPECIALIST Does this build seem compatible or are there things that need improving?

The ASUS Dual 3070 appears to be available and it is only £22 more than the standard 3070 and much cheaper than the 3080.

PCSPECIALIST Does this build seem compatible or are there things that need improving?

My eyes must be failing. I could swear there was a 5900x in the build 🤓

PCSPECIALIST Does this build seem compatible or are there things that need improving?

The 3080 is now on pre-order, so is in a similar position to the 3070

PCSPECIALIST Does this build seem compatible or are there things that need improving?

There is not a WiFi version of the ROG STRIX X570 (which we normally recommend for the 5900x) on PCS and our favourite WiFi card (Intel AX200) has disappeared from the site. I suspect that is the rationale behind the motherboard. The Corsair coolers come with high quality paste pre-applied, so...

To come within your budget you could step back to the 3070 and drop the RAM back to 16GB (few games need more than this)..

PCSPECIALIST PC mainly for 4k video editing

This could do with some adjustment. The link you included doesn’t take us to your build. Please include the green link from the bottom of the configuration and we can then suggest some changes - case, motherboard, storage, PSU and WiFi for a start.

PCSPECIALIST Salt Beef - Time to Brine

@Martinr36 any reason for the 2 Barracudas?

PCSPECIALIST First PCS box. Any advice?

Ideally you want a H100/115/150i cooler as the X versions are older and don’t have the same ability to be controlled in iCue.

PCSPECIALIST First PCS box. Any advice?

Please provide the configuration link so that we can suggest some edits. I am not sure that the 5950x offers much above the 5900x for your uses and the increase in performance from 3080 to 3080Ti will likely be small. You could do with better storage and a better PSU. You don’t need the Arctic...

PCSPECIALIST Desktop restricting boradband download speed?

Power line adapters are well known for causing connection problems. I gave up on mine ages ago. In my opinion it is unlikely to be your desktop pc that is the issue.

    PCSPECIALIST Any Suggestions?

Is there any benefit in selecting a 2060 Super over a 2060 or even a 1660 for those monitors?

PCSPECIALIST 6900XT build, not too sure what I'm doing any help appreciated

You can’t future proof a GPU. With your current monitor you would be using only a fraction of the power of the 6900XT. You would be better off getting a suitable graphics card for you current monitor and upgrading when you change your monitor in the future. The likelihood is that cheaper, more...

PCSPECIALIST 6900XT build, not too sure what I'm doing any help appreciated

I am not sure on the case. Someone else will advise. With the 5900x you need a Corsair AIO cooler (e.g. H115i Elite Capellix). You don't need anywhere near a 6900XT for a 1080p monitor and the system would be bottlenecked by the monitor. You would just be wasting money. You don't need 32GB...
