CL is only ever part of the story as you indicate @Scott - Typical historical umbers: (obviously selected to make a point :) - but still quite indicative of how things have changed over the years......) DDR - 400 MHz @ CL2 = 10 ns DDR2 - 800 MHz @ CL4 - 10 ns DDR3 - 1600 MHz @ CL8 = 10 ns DDR4...

This is total placebo I am sure - but I always said that placebos get a bad rap cos if you feel better after them then who cares if it's all untrue? I had completed a few benchmarks yesterday while alternately tweaking my RAM/bricking my machine - so though I'd run a comparison after the 21H1...

Mine is restarting now. It shows a mesage saying ‘Your PC will restart several times’ and that is proving to be correct. Second restart in progress now....

It's just a way to make limited PSU output options still work with multiple connections at the other really isn't it? In which case I wouldn't be too surprised if the lower end PSU's keep them for a while yet!

Only benefit is a minor cable management one I expect. Just can't compete with separate supplies I would think.....

Good call. I imagine the TXm is still 'technically speaking' rated for 150W x 2 via the daisy chain from a single PSU output. But the upgrade seems like the only sensible plan. (y)

Same 750 W requirement listed on AMD also. Question for you gurus out there - the card draws 300W - via two 6+2 PCIe power connectors I think? Am I right in saying that a single 6+2 is rated to supply a max of 150W? And if so - then two connectors give the 300W required but theoretically...

Yep - did so - but not showing. They are rolling it out slowly I believe so some users will get it before others.....
