    PCSPECIALIST One-liners

I see what you're doing here. This is a ploy, a trap, designed to make me say the C-word so that I have to put €1.2 in the charity pot. I see you coming and I'm not going to be tricked into saying Christmas! Oh bugger......

    PCSPECIALIST One-liners

I propose that we start a charity box. Anyone on here who uses the C-word before December is required to place £1 (in my case €1.2) in a virtual charity box for each time they use the C-word. In December, when the use of the C-word will be permitted, we can decide to which charity we will donate...

    PCSPECIALIST Boot failure detected

Are you running those two 990 Pro SSDs in a RAID array? The symptoms you describe sound most likely to be storage drive related I would think.

PCSPECIALIST I really shouldn't have done that....

I'm going to 'fess up to having been really stupid, in the hope that it may serve as a warning to others. I have a lot of fonts installed, including all those that came from Windows, plus others I've added since. I had a good reason the other day to delete a font family that I had installed and...

    PCSPECIALIST PC rebooting itself

Don't be surprised if both sticks are fine on their own but not together. It's possible for one stick to have drifted a tad in it's operation so that it works on its own but not with another stick (which hasn't drifted).

In addition, and just so everyone is clear on whose responsibility this is, the Intel Warranty Information page states the following - right at the top... Only 14th gen CPU customers who have purchased a CPU as a single component may contact Intel directly for an RMA.
