I've got a pension in place (plus the state pension), just never had a company pay into one for me (well, nothing significant as I've been agency/self-employed/contractor for 35 years (with the odd gap when the market's have collapse or a company has gone bust).

Why oh why have you installed McCrapee, and what part of it are you using to 'test' the system? I don't believe it's got a stress test or memory checking function, but I could be wrong as I haven't bothered to look at it's features for about 20 years.

You can't add different generations of RAM. Your old stuff is very slow DDR4, and the new stuff is very slow DDR5. Unfortunately, due to the strength of the USD and the refresh of components, the CPUs and GPUs are very expensive at the moment.

Most on here wouldn't recommend the PCS version of any component (RAM, cooler, case, fans) as they're usually of unknown/variable manufacturer & quality. We'd also not recommend a ATX2.4 850W PSU for that combo of CPU and GPU - the lowest, decent ATX3.1 PSU that we'd recommend currently...
