Edit: Just noticed you've already taken out the Windows key so there's some cash saved there! Taken the Windows key out of this one and popped in a 12400F which is a decent CPU. Other option would be a 5600 non-X which would perform similarly for less money if you were happy to explore team red...
Heya! Think we should just about be able to do that for you (y)
Couple things- As Martin has said, for gaming performance you would probably be better off with a console and a nice monitor. However, I understand the appeal to having a PC. Also, if you're taking the HDD and SSD out of a PC that...
RTX 40 Series is here!
The exciting stuff first:
In terms of pricing for the UK for the 4080:
4090 will be £1679 MSRP
Now some slightly less interesting stuff about DLSS, RT Performance and Power Efficiency:
Well, all looks fairly impressive! Having a 7600X beat a 12900K is no mean feat, (although I'm sure there's a bit of a 'showing titles AMD is better at' in there ;) ) ! The AM5 platform support for 2025+ is certainly a selling point and the whole AM4 compatible coolers is lovely! Slightly...
Corsair RGB would be the argument I guess, but you could also just get a 5000X, the 5000D AF front panel for like £15 and 3 ARGB strips for a tenner each and you're basically there. Even at £250 its still FAR too much and still a stupid case, I don't even think it's that attractive
This'd be my offering. Swapped to an Intel build as I feel it gives the more attractive package at the moment-
Case
COOLERMASTER MASTERBOX TD500 MESH ARGB GAMING CASE OP's choice, still a great case
Processor (CPU)
Intel® Core™ i7 12-Core Processor i7-12700K (3.6GHz) 25MB Cache The gaming +...
That all looks good to me now!
Just as a note- PCS generally install the OS on the faster drive which will be your 1TB drive- ideally you'll want it on the 500GB in this setup so once you recieve it, it's worth making sure Windows is on the 500GB before you get too far into the ownership!
This is actually a system I've just recommended, but feel it'd be suitable for your uses! To pair with a system like this I'd aim for a 1440p 144-165hz monitor which I'd call the sweetspot of gaming right now. These tend to be about £280-330 for a decent one depending on the day of the week...
Heya! Couple areas we could change here- few questions first!
1) Budget- What are you looking to spend?
2) Uses- What games will you be playing? Will you be doing anything else with it?
3) Monitor- What monitor wll be paired with it? Either make and model or resolution and refresh rate would be...
If it'll be a few months later then that's perfectly fine, as long as you have an active intention to upgrade, that's the important thing. There wouldn't be any point spending lots on a GPU that could show 200FPS when your monitor can only show 75 of them!
For a sweet AMD 1440p gaming rig, I'd...
NZXT have bought out a new line of cases called the N7, N7 Flow and N7 Elite. The Flow seems quite good and the fans on the Elite are cool, although I'm sure it'l be a terrible thermal performer. It'll be interesting to see what pricing is like on the Flow and if it's competitve versus the 5000D...
A random winner is selected from the Gleam.io giveaway then contacted, if they meet all the requirements (lives where PCS ships, etc) then they win, if not, they'll re-roll until they find someone that meets all the requirements
Nope, not intentional, just missed it!
The stock AMD coolers are fine for Ryzen 5's. They aren't incredible but get the job done which is what they're designed to do really. Although if the person has a primary CPU heavy use (video editing, the like) then it's well worth spending the £20 or so...
Here'd be my recommendations, gone slightly over budget, but I feel its well worth it if you're able to spend the exta

COOLERMASTER MASTERBOX TD500 MESH ARGB GAMING CASE Kept your original case choice. Lian Li 215 or Corsair 4000D Airflow would save a bit of cash
