That's an.... interesting strategy. Surely they'd be better off to stretch them out like they both did for last gen?? Although I guess it gives them a headstart on NVIDIA for a tonne of price categories
The last time we had one of these sale periods, I believe PCS had large discounts on a couple of set specs then had a £50 off voucher for a couple of days, can't remember the exact event though 🙃 I'd imagine it'd be similar to that for BF
Due to the size of the front fans I don't believe you...
"Unboxing Videos" have just had their NDA lifted! Fair to say these new 4090's are heckin' chonkers!
Oh... and you know that ugly cable adapter they provided for the FE's... they're back, for every card... but worse 🙃
Heya! Sorry in the delay in getting back to you, I think generally the cooling aspect needs a bit of a look over so I've made a couple changes to try and acommodate the more beefy cooling requirements you have!
Afraid I haven't kept on the 4K 12-144hz monitor game too much recently so will...
I think you've pretty much got it bang on there. If you're not in a rush to buy then it's probably worth waiting to see what Intel comes out with, although as you seem very up for actively upgrading I think AM5 is probably the route you'll end up with. Not to mention we should recieve B650 this...
Had to post in 2 parts-
Hope all that explanation has been useful and hasn't just gone straight over your head 😂 Now I'll discuss the actual build

Heya, Sorry no one got back to you. Lots to cover, I'll go over all the questions raised then go over a spec
You certainly can say prices have raised a lot recently. With the new DDR5 tech @ retail you're currently looking at about £200 for a decent kit of DDR5 RAM compared to £110 for a decent...
Heya! Think there's a couple areas we could imporve here, a few questions first
1) What's the budget?
2) What will you be using the PC for?
3) What monitor will the build be paired with (Either make and model or res and refresh would be ideal! Don't want a 3080TI if you're using a 10 year old...
Heya! If you're able to spend the extra £10 or so, then this build will give you far more performance

First time seeing an LTT video? ;) Feel like they've been like that for a while now
They've also done a graph with a filled in 5800X3D bar that @IRLRobinS noticed 👀 Doesn't look quite so impressive now! There was also an interesting part about them using 4800mhz DDR5 to run the 12900K tests...
They are indeed, although we've only just recieved the performance metrics and these slides would've been confirmed weeks ago. I doubt AMD would freely be giving infomation on their performance to Intel ;)
That said, assuming Intel will be showing themselves in the best possible light, the...
I mean I'd imagine it's an intentional tactic to take coverage/ hype away from AMD.
Its pretty similar to what AMD did for the RDNA3 annoucment event- the SVP and GM for AMD Radeon tweeted this out literally 2 hours before the NVIDIA 40 series event went live
While everyone's been busy buying their AM5 CPU's, Intel has announced the 13th gen K SKU's so might be worth holding off on that buy button just for a while longer. Due to be released on the 20th of October, PCS already has them available for pre-order although as always I'd wait for reviews...

That i5 increase is rather painful 🙃 Although having DDR4 and B660 should help ;)

Hey Jack, as SCK has mentioned above, there's quite a few areas we could optimise in this build. If you're looking at around a £900 build I'd be looking at something like this. Once you get back to us with the info asked for above we'd be happy to adjust accordingly if changes need to be made...
The main two would be price (which wasn't actually as much as I was expecting) and where you get your drivers from 😂 Performance is pretty much neck and neck between the12400F and 5600. Considering the price difference isn't huge, I'd probably go for the intel system as we're guaranteed a new...
