Hi, I'm coming from xboxs and looking to get in to PC gaming. I absolutely know nothing about PC's and have been suggested this. Is there at all any information anyone has on this to help? :)

1) Budget- What are you looking to spend?
2) Uses- What games will you be playing? Will you be doing anything else with it?
3) Monitor- What monitor wll be paired with it? Either make and model or resolution and refresh rate would be ideal!

So I don't really have a budget but probs not over 1600. In terms of games I'd like to play like GTA, pubg, xplanes etc mainly. With the monitor, I'd be looking to get a new one soon but unsure of what that is yet. Honestly, I'd just like the play games and for it not to be lagging and clean.

Not as yet honestly. I've just started looking in to PC gaming and not the most knowledgeable of all this information ahaha. Just want the computer to run them games fine (obviously with xplanes with lower FPS I guess which is fine).

This is actually a system I've just recommended, but feel it'd be suitable for your uses! To pair with a system like this I'd aim for a 1440p 144-165hz monitor which I'd call the sweetspot of gaming right now. These tend to be about £280-330 for a decent one depending on the day of the week.

Another option for the spec is to go for a 3060TI instead of the 70 then go for 32GB of RAM, because if XPlane is anything like MSFS, then that's certainly an upgrade you'll want.

I wouldn’t recommend that case. Cases aren’t just for aesthetics, they’re one of the most important and often overlooked components. Cases house all your components and ensure good airflow to keep them all cool. The Lian Li case is excellent and a standout pick at that price point. I know the PCS cases look pretty nice but I don’t trust their airflow capabilities and wouldn’t recommend them.

Avoid Norton like a plague in a gaming PC, it will cause issues and slow down performance. Windows Defender comes included and is ample anti virus protection, and the best way to avoid viruses is to be vigilant and not click on suspicious links. 🙂

That all looks good to me now!

Just as a note- PCS generally install the OS on the faster drive which will be your 1TB drive- ideally you'll want it on the 500GB in this setup so once you recieve it, it's worth making sure Windows is on the 500GB before you get too far into the ownership!

Just in addition to this post - I'm having thoughts of whether to get a 3060 or 3070 (since 3060ti is out of stock). Any opinions would be greatly appreciated :)

Xplane is far more realistic as a flight sim, and actually has training applications, MSFS looks nicer and has more environmental detail. Comments on some flight sim forums and also by some trial runs done by actual pilots basically remarked as xplane being a serious flight sim with more realistic physics etc and msfs being a sim-arcade game with better graphics. (EDIT: found references to xplane eating up 25GB RAM if given the option... so 32GB is the way to go)

I know the 3060Ti isnt currently in stock either, but I would say to hold off until it is and revise the spec to boost the "bones" a little more, or if you can, wait until autumn for the new release cpus/gpus/motherboards.

This will ALL depend on your monitor choices, a 3060Ti is beautifully placed for 1440p standard monitors, a 3060 will run them but find it heavy going but 1080 will be nice n easy for it. 3070 will be a little on the side of overshoot for standard 1440p, but not massively.

I think I'll either get the 3060 or 3070 just purely because I been waiting months now for a PC ahaha and can't wait any longer. Will bottlekneckign occur on any of these with the setup above?

As said above, it depends entirely on your monitor choice.

Being bottlenecked isn't the only problem you can face. You can also just not have enough performance, and that depends on what monitor you're using.
