    PCSPECIALIST Installing PSU

That was it exactly. Thanks! Unfortunately it hasn't solved the problem of the PC not powering up correctly. When I try to switch it on everything starts but I never get the beep that I usually hear and then it just switches off again. A few seconds later it comes back on and this keeps...

    PCSPECIALIST Installing PSU

Hi, I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask this but I recently got my PSU replaced under warranty by PCS. I'm trying to install it myself but it's not working correctly. There seems to be a loose cable (see below) and I'm not sure where it fits as I can't see a connector that matches...

    PCSPECIALIST Contacting PCS Support

Thanks for the response. It was actually the .co.uk email address that I had sent my last enquiry to. I just figured out that it's actually only 3 days since I sent it. I got an automatic reply to say that they would respond within 24-48 hours but I've still heard nothing. I guess it's just...

    PCSPECIALIST Contacting PCS Support

Is anyone else having trouble with PCS support? I contacted them about a problem with my PC and they discovered that my PSU, which was the cause of the problem, was still under warranty. I was obviously happy not to have shell out €100 for a new one but despite several emails to one individual...

    PCSPECIALIST PC Crashed

Hi, I bought a PC through PCS in October 2017 (specs below). I was using it today when the screen suddenly went dead. I looked at the motherboard through the case and the RGB lights were flashing intermittently. I turned off the power at the socket and waited for a while before turning it back...

PCSPECIALIST !!!i need a question about customer service!!!

I had an issue with my (then) new PC (see this forum post) when I first got it. I found PCS support to be fantastic and it was fixed and sent back to me quickly. That was my only experience with support because thankfully I haven't had another problem with my PC since.

    PCSPECIALIST 17.3" VYPER GAMING LAPTOP

Thanks for the review. I was thinking of getting this laptop myself so It's interesting to hear your thoughts on it. One question I wanted to ask was if the speakers are any use? Is the sound quality any good? Also does the laptop have Soundblaster Atlas or Soundblaster Cinema?

    PCSPECIALIST Battery Life On Laptops

Yeah apparently the 14" Lafité Pro gets up to 12 hours of battery life which is great. I'm concerned that the 14" screen might be a bit small though, especially for video editing. I guess the larger the screen the shorter the battery life so there may be a trade off.

    PCSPECIALIST Battery Life On Laptops

Well come to think of it I probably wasn't comparing like with like. Most of the laptops I was looking at elsewhere were not for gaming. I guess if I'm concerned about battery life I should be looking at the thin & light section of PCS because some of those ones last up to 12 hours apparently. I...

    PCSPECIALIST Battery Life On Laptops

Has anyone any idea of the real world battery life of some of the PCS laptops? From looking at the comparisons it looks like battery life is quite poor. Even the laptops with the "huge" 91wh battery are showing only 6 hours from a charge. Maybe that's normal but I would have expected more. Any...

    PCSPECIALIST Internal Blu-Ray Drive

To be fair they were pretty quick to get back to me when I emailed them about the Covid 19 situation. In case you're interested they have said that there could be issues with parts they get internationally so advised contacting them with the specific model of the PC/laptop before ordering.

    PCSPECIALIST Internal Blu-Ray Drive

Thanks for all your help. One final question if you don't mind. Do you know what the battery life is like on the 15,6" COSMOS VIII? Unlike with the Ultranote series it doesn't give the size of the batteries in the configurator.

    PCSPECIALIST Internal Blu-Ray Drive

That's OK. I have some old Blu-Ray disks I'd like to be able to watch but I guess I'll have to go with an external player. On another note do you know if PC Specialist are affected by the Covid 19 situation?

    PCSPECIALIST Internal Blu-Ray Drive

Not true. There's actually a configuration here that includes a DVD drive but not Blu-Ray. It's the Unltranote 17.

    PCSPECIALIST Internal Blu-Ray Drive

Is it possible to get an internal Blu-Ray drive with any of the laptops here? I can't seem to find an option for it in any of the configurations but want to be sure I'm not just missing something.

    PCSPECIALIST Overclocking Issue

I bought an overclocked PC from PCS which had to be returned and the motherboard replaced under warranty. When I look at the PC info it shows this: Shouldn't this show something like @ 4.8ghz?
