PCSPECIALIST What have you been doing with your PC?

I'll start things off. Since I got my new PC about a month ago I've been working on lots of videos for my YouTube channel. These are my two most recent: (Created using Magic Music Visualiser) (Created using Nero Video & Magic Music Visualiser) I'm also working on a new DJ mix but since...

PCSPECIALIST What have you been doing with your PC?

Every day I see people posting here on the forums about the high spec PC's they are buying but apart from the odd review never hear much of how they get on with them. Would anybody like to share interesting projects they've been working on (videos, music, graphic design etc.) or good games...

PCSPECIALIST CORSAIR ICUE 5000X RGB MID

Yeah, I did that before and it was very simple. I bought the case off Amazon and had it shipped to PCS directly.

    PCSPECIALIST My PC Review

Thanks for the suggestions. The Armoury Crate program sorted out the issue with the lights on the processor cooler. I still can't get the front lights to work through iCUE but as I said before it's not a big deal at all.

    PCSPECIALIST My PC Review

Since I have had the PC for nearly one month I thought that I would post a review of it. I've listed the specs at the bottom. The case is definitely stylish and so easy to use. The airflow seems really good and the side panel easily opens up to access all the internals without the need for...

PCSPECIALIST PC Won't Recognise External Drives

When I turned on my PC this morning it suddenly started recognising the external drives I mentioned. My other question still remains. How do I know what speed a USB port is? I read somewhere that the blue ports are USB 3.0 and the red ones are USB 3.2 but the three front ports have no colour. I...

PCSPECIALIST PC Won't Recognise External Drives

I'm not at the PC now but when I'm on it tomorrow I'll do that.

PCSPECIALIST PC Won't Recognise External Drives

For the Netac drive I did initially but when I unplugged it and plugged it back in there was no sound. The Samsung drive never made any sound.

PCSPECIALIST PC Won't Recognise External Drives

Both drives are USB powered and formatted as exFAT. They both connect perfectly fine to my Dell laptop but for some reason are not recognised by my new PC. Other USB devices such as a Logitech wireless adapter and WD Elements drive are recognised.

PCSPECIALIST PC Won't Recognise External Drives

I have an older WD Elements hard drive that I used for backups which was recognised by Windows so I don't know if it's to do with the fact that they are SSD's.

PCSPECIALIST PC Won't Recognise External Drives

I received my new PC yesterday and all is working fine except for one thing. I have two external hard drives: Netac ZSLIM 250GB USB 3.2 Gen 2 External Solid State Drive Samsung T7 Touch 2TB Portable SSD Hard Drive When I plug either of them into any of the USB ports (front & back) they are...

    PCSPECIALIST Surge Protector Plugs

Thanks @Martinr36 That adapter was a bit too big and I don't need 12 sockets so I went for something similar but smaller: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B087JRP1VL/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

    PCSPECIALIST Surge Protector Plugs

I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post this here but I'll try anyway. My PC has been dispatched and I should get it in the next few days. I'm looking at getting a good surge protector plug because the one I have is over 12 years old. Can anyone recommend a good one? I want one with at least 6-8...

    PCSPECIALIST 3600mhz vs 3200mhz RAM

I recently ordered a PC which included 64GB 3200mhz RAM. I asked PCS about changing it to 3600mhz RAM instead because it's not an option in the configurator. I also asked them why it wasn't an option and they came back with this: Is it worth risking the "instability issues" that might occur...

PCSPECIALIST Asus motherboard Getting Multiple Errors and BSOD

That sounds very like an issue I had with my current PCS build. It would start up and then cut out straight away with a clicking sound. It turned out to be a motherboard failure. I had to do a RMA so that PCS could replace the motherboard.

PCSPECIALIST RTX 2060 or RTX 3060

I went ahead and ordered this: Case CORSAIR OBSIDIAN SERIES™ 500D SE CASE Processor (CPU) AMD Ryzen 9 5900X 12 Core CPU (3.7GHz-4.8GHz/70MB CACHE/AM4) Motherboard ASUS® CROSSHAIR VIII HERO WIFI (DDR4, PCIe 4.0, CrossFireX/SLI) - RGB Ready! PCSPECIALIST RTX 2060 or RTX 3060

It's not showing up as an option for me the way it did for my last build. All I get is a list of the cases PCS stock.

PCSPECIALIST RTX 2060 or RTX 3060

It's a pity that PCS don't do the "Submit Your Own Case" option any more. The one I'm thinking of going with (Corsair 500D SE) seems like a really good case but is quite colourful with the RGB fans. For someone who doesn't do any gaming it might be a bit much. The Fractal Define 7 case looks...

PCSPECIALIST RTX 2060 or RTX 3060

So I guess something like this: Case CORSAIR OBSIDIAN SERIES™ 500D SE CASE Processor (CPU) AMD Ryzen 9 5900X 12 Core CPU (3.7GHz-4.8GHz/70MB CACHE/AM4) Motherboard ASUS® CROSSHAIR VIII HERO WIFI (DDR4, PCIe 4.0, CrossFireX/SLI) - RGB Ready! Memory (RAM) 64GB Corsair VENGEANCE RGB PRO DDR4...
