Here is my attempt, but I don’t know all the requirements of your use case. I am sure some others will weigh in with their suggestions.

While not an expert in your use case, I would make a few changes here, primarily CPU, motherboard, storage, PSU and cooling. Please provide the configuration link, so that we can suggest the changes.
What is the maximum cost of the payout can afford on finance? We can’t work on a monthly figure. What resolution and refresh rate is your current monitor and what headset will you be using for VR?
What monitor will you be using with this (make and model or resolution and frame rate)? What resolution and length of clip will you be editing? Please provide the configuration link so that we can suggest some changes.
Like you I get some psoriasis. For me there is a balance between shaving too often, which irritates my skin, and my beard getting too long, when my skin then becomes red and itchy. As I am now mainly working from home, I can get by with a scruffy look. I generally use disposable blades that...
You want the 500MB to be as fast as possible, so a Gen 4 NVME (Samsung 980 Pro or Firecuda 530). This drive is solely for Windows and applications. Games would go on the larger NVME drive, which can be a bit slower without impacting performance. The Gen 4 drive would be about 12x the speed of a...
The trouble with troubleshooting is that there are no short cuts. It would have been pointless to assume the GPU was faulty in the first instance, when the majority of problems are due to drivers and cooling. All other causes need to be eliminated first, before the fault can be laid at the door...
I see that you have both Realtek and NVidia audio drivers installed. This has caused problems in the past. Once you have fully installed Windows, it may be worth a custom install of the GPU driver, ensuring that you don’t install the audio component.
As this is your first time building a PC, can I ask where you are getting Windows from? Please be aware that cheap Windows keys available online are almost certainly not kosher and may leave you with Windows disabled in the future. Also, do you really want to be downloading anything from a site...
I see the county is proud it has been in existence since 1821! I am sure we have some forums members that have been around longer than that 😃 One of my ancestors was mayor of Salisbury before 1420 and on the council in 1398. Now that is old.
If you are getting a 1440p 144Hz monitor, you can step back on the GPU, as the 3080 would be wasted. You would then have some budget to spend on the rest of the build, the monitor or to keep in your pocket.
@AgentCooper if you are going to be a pedant, you need to be right. The OP stated 60mHz not 60MHz and that is 1 frame every 16.67 seconds, not 60 million frames per second. Not to worry - only out by a factor of 1 billion 🤪
You can transfer the Windows licence to a new build. You could also transfer the HDD across for secondary storage that doesn't need fast loading times. However, you would want M.2 SSDs as your main drives nowadays
Ideally, the radiator would be mounted on the top. I don't know if that is possible on your case. If you are sending in a case, it is your responsibility to make sure everything will fit.
I believe the Corsair 5000X will take a Corsair H150i in the roof.
The motherboard supports AX200, but I cannot confirm from the ASUS website whether it also has Bluetooth. If you want additional storage for files that don't require fast access, a 2TB Barracuda HDD is less than £50.
If you are having no problems, there is no need to upgrade bios. You should be aware that if you upgrade your bios without permission from PCS, you may void your warranty.
Ouch. I feel sorry for your wife in advance. I and my first brother were under 9lbs, but the youngest one was 10lbs. He was the last. I don’t know if three boys were enough, or my mum wasn’t risking another 10lb baby.
