They have just released the new xbox 360 does that mean that they will be continuing game lines for the 360 and that Halo 5 may be released on Xbox 360 too?

Maybe they will, but can't see why anyone would choose to stay with a last gen console over the PS4 - why not just hang on to the current 360 to play old games with and then get a PS4 instead. :)

I was thinking earlier of situations where people might not be able to go online every day... just a few...

- Members of the Armed forces, often away for months at a time with no net/restricted net access (who Mr Mattrick has basically just flipped off). Can't use the Xbone.
- A lot of university accommodation has to run a software check (Windows/Mac only) before it will enable net access, and many ban standalone routers. Many people won't be able to/know how to use the WiFi from a laptop etc. as a router and as such won't be able to use the Xbone.
- Perhaps Mr Mattrick should come visit some rural areas of the UK and see for himself how slow and unreliable net connections can be. No Xbone.
- What if you haven't been online in almost 24 hours and the connection drops for a few hours. No Xbone.

Basically, Mr Mattrick is pretty ignorant.

Yeah +1 on the Armed forces guys. When I was in Afghan, there was alot of guys with 360's just playing SP or coop. With absolutely no internet connection at all. But also, there is alot of servicemen and women that are based in the UK do not have any internet access even in camp accommodation.

PS, tom nice sig.

I dont fully understand how integral the whole internet thing is to the hardware side of things, but could they make a u-turn on this? if they don't...well...a lot of their business graphs aren't going to look too healthy..

I only play Halo on the 360 at the moment and i couldn't justify going current gen at the price it is at the moment for 1 game.

I've got no real desire to upgrade to the next gen at the moment, i'll wait till the buzz wears off then maybe.

As for the internet connection im not saying that it will solve everyone's problem but it will solve a lot i can imagine, if the xbone needs authentication then both iphones and android phones have wifi tether, if its just a quick authentication it will be a minimum data package every 24 hours.

Im not condoning what they have done just a work around thought i had for some users.
