The New Xbox. XBOX ONE

I'm quite looking forward to the Xbone now guys. Was reading the xbox mag last night as my dad recommended the Forza article in there and blimey it looks good. Graphically speaking it might not perform as well as a PC but I think gameplay wise it could exceed it. And at the end of the day as long as it's 1080p I won't mind, Forza games in the past have always looked stunning regardless of being on 7 year old tech.

Apparently they've scrapped the AI and your opponents now just learn from you meaning they constantly grow and improve throughout your career. And the career mode actually sounds sweet, there's different car classifications like Hot hatches, Japanese, American Muscle, etc and you pick a car and stick with that for the career. You upgrade it and tune it to your needs and watch as you get better and better at driving it. Rather than being offered a new Ferrari at the end of every other race (because that would happen in real motorsport!). I do hope there's still the option to purchase additional cars at some point as it could get dull depending on how long each cars career is but it does sound like it'll be decent!

will laugh if they both Add in strict drm in about a year... haha

I personally, have nothing against DRM. I dont think its done us PC gamers any harm.

I've got nothing against DRM, I prefer buying Steam games than buying a DRM-free game like from GOG. Yes I technically don't own it but so what? I pay like a fraction of the price for them so it doesn't bother me.

And as for Xbox going against what they've said, I've never had issues with my xbox and even though I've always tried out the playstation alternative I've never found them to be that brilliant as an end product. And so what if Microsoft want to watch me play while I'm in my undies, nobody's going to pay to see that... Who knows though, it could kick-start a new career for me on the internet if I go viral.

Cameras are on everything now though and it's not exactly difficult to cover one up if you have to.

Edit: And just to add on, I really felt Microsoft were taking a good step forward with their whole no sharing policy. You could see they were clearly trying to get into the 'Download' scene as opposed to disc copies and inevitably you'd have expected to start seeing prices similar to that on a pc starting to develop. Now that they've gone back to the 360's setup it's just going to be the same thing over again but on upgraded hardware meaning you're always going to need your disc, etc etc. Yes if it's not broken don't fix it, but going down the download route could have been a good step forward and inevitably you need to eliminate the ability to share if you're going to start taking away the need to have a disc.

But I will have a connection, and clearly you do, so it shouldn't be a problem to us? :) And at least they've reverted to the one time installation connection rather than being every 24 hours, I admit that sounded pretty stupid.

Plenty of things need a connection to setup nowadays though, if you buy an iphone/ipod you need to install itunes, etc. Heck, fridges even come with internet capabilities now! I appreciate the argument of people living out in rural areas who don't always have great connection, or people who work away, etc etc but for me personally it's not a problem at all so that's not going to effect my decision.

The fact Microsoft has done a complete u-turn is a massive surprise, never thought i'd see the day. It definitely puts things back on a level playing field. I much preferred the look of the XBONE, launch line-up, Kinect 2 will be awesome, and i much preferred 360 to PS3. PS3's interface always come across as cold and bland to me, 360 had a lot more going on, easier no navigate, everything flowed well, and was just a lot better to look at. I would not be surprised if they go a stage further before launch and remove the Kinect as a compulsory option. for £80 more it's a bargain....if you want Kinect.

Yea I found Kinect really useful for things like Forza for using voice recognition but I never really bothered with the whole dance around your living room thing unless we had people over as it was something everybody could do. I completely agree with the 360 comments though, look back at all the issues PS3 has had with things like naff online servers, accounts being hacked, games like skyrim being released as unplayable because of bugs and you soon remember why you chose the xbox.

I'm not even a fanboy as I've always owned both anyway. I just felt like the xbox was a better package. I'd stick with my PC if I could but I don't think I could pass on Forza and Fifa..
