My CPU is running at 800Mhz, 45 degrees (on battery) and the fan comes on full speed every couple of minutes. My wife is telling me to send the laptop back
I am not happy with the laptop i have to say, i honestly feel this is a flaw worthy of a return
As it stands, i am regretting buying a Clevo.
I contacted PcSpecialist and they're sending me an updated Bios for the fans i think to control them maybe you should send them a message too explaining the problem
Have you received the updated bios yet? I've sent a message to PcSpecialist, but not had a response yet.
When contacting their technical support I found their service exemplary. I don't work for PCS but I could assume it was either a human error or instructions are provided with the instruction manual that came with your laptop.Just can't understand why a company that prides itself on customer service can't seem to go the extra mile and get what i would consider the basics, correct.
Received the USB stick with the BIOS on it. No instructions on what to do. Just a readme file that tells you the very basics with no true step by step instructions (for example when the key boots, choose option 3) etc
Got version 1.09 on the BIOS now, will see how it goes.

Include a printed document with step by step instructions (you should assume your customer is a complete novice) on how to upgrade the BIOS
I'm an MCP/MCTS/MCITP and i didn't find it particularly easy to upgrade the BIOS.
Not really had chance to use it this morning but ill post some feedback later. What exactly does the BIOS fix though? I'm not quite sure as the fan isn't mention in the revision notes
Well, my experiences so far haven't been great (talking about email correspondence)
I emailed asking for a replacement part to be sent out as it was damaged, on the 20th, still have not received it and i suspect it's not been sent. Each time i email support, i receive a reply from a different person who is utterly oblivious to any previous correspondence and i have to explain the problem again. I emailed to ask for some more information on updating the EC as i don't think it has worked (as the fan is still ridiculously loud) and i received an email saying they will send me out a BIOS. One i have already received, which they should already know.
It's very frustrating to feel like you are getting nowhere fast and i don't have the luxury of ringing during the day as i am very busy at work. If there was some kind of call logging system in place, it would ensure that customers who call up, have their details logged and the next person to deal with the customer has all the details to hand. This is what my company does, every single phone call or action gets updated - it ensures nothing is missed.
I currently have a sound card driver that won't install, so i can't use the Sound Blaster Cinema software, a damaged back strip, and a fan that is causing my wife to throw me looks of "seriously?"
