yes of course @SpyderTracks - I've also tried both ports with the head phone jack As it happens I've noticed as I've used the machine more it takes a long while to boot, and copying any files from media connected to the front ports on the machine fails or randomly disconnects sporadically .

OK it's the 15th and it's add to basket time. The 9950x reviews are out and I've seen some. From my limited knowledge base it doesn't look like a huge improvement over the 7950x - are you guys of the opinion its the right way to go?

Morning all, haven taken the advice I am waiting for the new AMD chips. Does anyone know when they are likely to be available? Problem with speccing up a new machine is that as soon as you do - you realise you can't live without it! hahaha

Thankyou for the input all - I am confident in my choice now. Out of interest, it was the same about 4 years ago - how come AMD seems to win out over intel chips time and time again. It was mentioned the I9 are over heating - seems mad for such a high-ticket item
