@sck451 - that is awesome - really grateful for your advice! When you say Threadripper is that - that an AMD option? I'll take a look at that. I hadn't realised intel had so many issues. But I recall my older PC that I specced on here and that was the same case. That was 4 years ago!

Yeah it was a bit stressful at the time, esp as PC specialist no longer carried the power pack. However one I tracked one down it was all good. Just a few days of downtime

Hi @SpyderTracks - appreciate the advise. I can't get it to boot sadly. Is it worth me removing the battery and seeing if it will power up direct from the mains? Or is it better to see if the new ac adaptor does the trick?
