I've been looking around online to see if there was any 6800xt or 3080 GPU's to buy for PCS build. It seems that only the odd 3090 are available now. saw a EVGA 3090 in Awd it for an eye wateringly expensive £1999!!(supposed to be retailed at $1800 in US) Crazy prices, desperate times.
Spoke to livechat, they said best bet could be xmas week. they had delays in shipments of gpu. Meanwhile I'll be keeping an eye out for a.i.b 6800xt from online retailers to try my luck. I asked about rx 6900xt and unsurprisingly no eta, most likely 2021, but I'm sure that most of us are not...
On the other hand £636 price for 6800xt on PCS build would be the cheapest price and I doubt the other online retailers can match it if they do have it in stock by then.
I might consider to remove gpu from build, as the likelyhood would be Feb scenario waiting on 6800xt. So much for AMD reps promising that there will be plenty of aib and ref gpu coming in Dec
Ouch now that is low in numbers with 6800xt. One of the sales team previously told me that even if I remove gpu out of the order i may still have to wait to jan.
I take this video below with a pinch of salt, but I guess there's nothing wrong with getting my hopes up a little.
Sorry to hear the not so good news, maybe best to keep a lookout online to see if any gpu may be available to purchase soon so they can dispatch pc early I'm even looking into rtx option too
No, though I'm going to check that game out that game along with marble madness playthrough on youtube. It was the red and white bouncing chequered ball on screen from one of the Amiga demo units in the shop to untice potential customers. First time I saw that was in one of the independant...
Wow this is a trip down memory lane.
Beloved BBC micro with their famous BEEP and the clicky keyboard. I remembered playing Imogen, what a good game that was back then.
Then the Spectrum ZX3 great times with jet set willy
Amiga 500, that chequered bouncing ball and Shadow of the beast...
Hi,
I'm interested to hear any stories of past pc companies(now defuct) based in the UK that you may heard of or even purchased from. Obviously please don't include the ones that are still in business.
Here's my list,
Evesham vale - My older brother's first pentium based pc, a solid...
The xfx product number RX-68TMATFD8 the sales team had given to me today matches the one on the xfx website as reference version. The AIB xfx Merc 319 product code is RX-68XTACBD9
Ask the sales team over the phone and ask for your rx6800(xt) queue number or any other components that you build is waiting on. Or else you could ask for general build queue number, but it can be misleading as there may be other in front of you that could be missing specific components too
Spoke to PCS and it looks like they are looking to get in XFX RX-TMATFD8(RX6800XT) to arrive sometime this month, which is reference model for those who are allocated to it. I'm in the middle of the RX6800XT queue at 120 so unlikely to get it for my pc build which is only a GPU left to move on...
