What I'm playing

I've got a few games on the go

Genshin Impact - anime stuff isn't my usual thing but I quite like this. PAIMON is pretty funny tbh.
Red Dead Redemption 2 - giving it a third playthrough now that I can play it maxed out. Might actually get platinum this time!
Dragon's Dogma 2 - dipping in and out of this but travel is so tedious I kind of get sick of it.
Eve Online - been playing since the start but usually only play it seriously every couple of months
Mass Effect Legendary Edition - working my way through the first one again. Starting to get hooked!
Throne and Liberty - the new MMO from Amazon. Graphically very nice but it could not be more generic in terms of story/art direction.
Some solid choices there!

So the wishlist is down to 1554 games. I've got rid of 400 games in the last week!

Steam Next Fest starts tomorrow, so that number will start going up again. Apparently there's going to be 3000 games on show for the Fest, all of them with demos!

Most of the games I've removed have been a mix of announced games that haven't had any kind of update in at least 2 years so are probably abandoned, or Early Access games with no updates for 12 months. I've come across a publisher, PlayWay, who spam create Steam store pages, then make the games that hit a certain threshold of wishlists. They've got so many games with no release date that will almost certainly never be made. Kinda sad really, but having seen their name pop up again and again on my wishlist, I won't be adding any more of their games until I see an actual release!

There's also been a few games where I've tried the demo and although the idea has caught my eye, the execution just hasn't been there, so I'm no longer interested.

Play Noita - you won't regret it.

It's a pixel art roguelike where every pixel is individually simulated giving it a really cool sense of depth. The second video on the Steam store page has an explosion a few seconds in which leads to water cascading everywhere. I've done similar myself by starting fires!
