Seems to be a very common problem this "card left no one home" thing. I'm not sure it happens with regularity with the other companies, perhaps it does, but looking at the Yodel online reviews, it seems extremely frequent. That's exactly what happened with my order too, and I ended up having to take three days off work. Not sure why it happens, it would be great to have someone who actually works as a delivery driver to comment on here. Perhaps it's because the driver runs out of time and has too many parcels to deliver. I did read somewhere that they've laid off loads of staff, so perhaps the drivers are just overworked and rather than say they didn't have time, and get it in the neck by their managers, they'd rather just say they attempted delivery and left a card. From the customers point of view the latter is obviously much worse though and highly inconvenient, even if the driver is trying to save their own skin.
