This was a knee-jerk purchase, came up on bandcamp and had the words "Super-Limited Run" so I didn't have a choice and had to order it!

The Hole In The Wall Gang (aka Skeewiff) - Scissor Cuts vol 2 7"

Just had to post this, was going through resleeving some records and came across this one, this is a limited edition of 1000 done in 2015, it sounds incredible, the hot pink just suits this record so well, but the real bonus is the number of my copy!

I saw them live in around 2002 somewhere in Cornwall in a disused cattle market, it was proper twisted with chains hanging down from the ceiling in this massive tin warehouse, proper industrial, incredible gig!

Thievery Corporation - Suadade

I knew about Thievery Corporation vaguely back in the day, but have recently really discovered their stuff as they've been issuing anniversary reissues, and it really is good, extremely varied in genre.

Their early stuff on vinyl has never been reissued though and goes for a pretty penny these days, so another rabbit hole to venture on!

Blur - Blur

Song 2 is a huge favorite of mine. This is damaged on the spine a little but I can't be bothered to sort a replacement, records are fine.

Seriously special one, this was only passed through customs this morning and arrived at my local Parcelforce depot at about 9am, they weren't going to deliver until Wednesday but were very kind and let me go and pick it up.

Love it when they come in their own custom boxes!

This is the new Rhino Hifi Series box set of ZZ Tops first 5 albums, mastered and cut by Kevin Gray, seriously high quality.

They only made 2000 (and this one is crazy low in the numbering), by the time I'd heard of them, the European and US copies had sold out, they sold out within a few days of pre orders going live, managed to find one on the Canada store so had to pay import fees and high shipping, but they're being flipped already for double what I paid.

Really looking forward to this, for me I'd put ZZ Top up there with the Stones in fusing southern sounds with rock, in the same way the stones fused southern honky tonk with blues rock.

Superb!

Two HIGHLY cool ones

Carly Simon - No Secrets, this was her big breakthrough album, I've been trying to get a good copy of "You're So Vain" on 7" for years, but as it's not an expensive item, sellers just don't bother grading properly, so I've bought two NM copies which have just been awful, worth binning. So I've given up trying to get the singles and looked into this album. This is the Speakers Corner from 2020 which is supposed to be incredible.

And such an iconic piece of history. The On Her Majesty's Secret Service soundtrack original US pressing from 1969 STILL SEALED!!!
I wanted a good copy of "We Have All The Time In The World" by Louis Armstrong, and didn't appreciate that that track was actually commissioned for the film, so the studio owns the rights from what I understand. You can find it on some later compilations that Louis put out, but this is the original pressing. I adore this soundtrack anyway, in a lot of ways, I think it's one of the best Bond soundtracks. Never ever thought I'd find one sealed though!!!

Max Richters new album - In a Landscape

This was a special colourway which came with a signed print on the right, signature is at the bottom in gold, me thinks Max may have had quite a number of these to sign judging by the scrawl :)

Just finishing off both my Hugh Laurie copies and just wanted to give a huge shout out to @Tron1982 who I'm sure is incredibly busy with new job, but I can't tell you how grateful I am for you introducing me to these, they're starting to get very expensive, and difficult to find in good condition, so I was very lucky to get mine when I did and I don't tire of them, if anything, they just get better and better.

Edit: just noticed that crap on the wall, damn cobwebs, but you can't see it from where I'm sitting.

Beautiful one, been listening a bit to the film soundtrack and just remembering just how damn good it is.

Blues Brothers - Briefcase Full Of Blues (First public appearance recorded live in September 1978 when the band opened for a live standup show by Steve Martin). It's not dated for this release in Discogs, but it's a European reissue, from what I can tell it's 1981. This particular copy is unplayed, and was cheap as chips regardless which actually makes me a bit sad that this record isn't more in demand.

This came before the movie soundtrack which followed a couple of years later in 1980, I never realised and thought the band started playing seriously as a result of the films success.

For a live recording, it's insanely good, most of the members of the Band were legends in their own rights, but it also highlights both Belushi and Ackroyd's skills as real Blues artists, and not simply good actors with a tiny repertoire just for a film with 1000's of retakes.

There is a 3rd album, released in December 1980, another live one called "Made In America" which I'll be on the hunt for in the future, but none of them are hard to find in good shape.

Really cool one

This is the first vinyl EP published on the Adjusted label which is The Thrillseekers, really nice to see vinyl really becoming a mainstay for so many producers.

The Thrillseekers, Mike Nichol - Adjusted EP001

Just 3 tracks on it, but they're going to be incredible. They had 200 White copies (this one) and 300 black, 70% went on sale in August, I was expecting they'd still be there when I finished work that afternoon, but no, they sold out instantly. Luckily he held back 30% for sale last Friday so managed to get one before they were all gone.

This was an album released last year by an artist I've only recently discovered, this was a limited run of 1500 copies of the first pressing which sold out pretty instantly, but the label just found six copies as they were releasing a new album.

She's another Neo-Classical artist, I'm really enjoying this new (to me) genre, find it extremely relaxing and emotive.

Hania Rani - On Giacometti

Couple of very bluirry ones

Robyn with Kleerup - With Every Heartbeat, this came on the other day, hadn't heard it for ages and realised I didn't have it. Turns out it was released on this single and her self titled album in 2007 but then never repressed at all. The album now goes for much dinero, so found a NM copy of the single. Love this track

And found a beautiful German copy of the 3rd Blues Brothers album - Made In America which completes my collection, extremely happy.
