Love that Mad Professor remix album. I think i listened to it more than the original, although my go to remix of Protection is the Eno mix off the 12inch.

Have to admit, I've not heard the Mad Professor mix albums yet o_O I know, it's criminal!

I had no idea about the Eno mix, I see he did an instrumental version as well, thanks so much, there's a 2 x 45rpm promo copy that includes all the mixes which I'm going to pick up! Excellent pointer.

I adore Eno, he's had such a vast influence in modern music. His An Ending / Ascent is mind bogglingly good, I've got a really rare white label of it.

One of my favourite current artists, Fred Again, was Eno's mentee, and it really shows.

4 Limited anniversary copies of remixes of the classic, Cafe Del Mar by Energy 52, includes the Deadmau5, Nalin & Kane, Orbital and Paul Van Dyke remixes and the epic Three In One Mix as well as others.

I've got an original, then the 2002 Michael Woods Ambient Mix along with 2 other 12"s from 2002, and then another from 2008 and one from 2018 by Renaissance

What I adore about this kind of trance is it's totally repetitive, the genius is all in how it builds, it's so damn clever, the way it can rise you up to feeling like you're going to explode with excitement simply from how it builds.

You can never have too many copies of this record though, it's an absolute corker

This is the Michael Woods, really is stunning:

This is the PVD one:

Ok, so this is another grail item for me.

It's not that this is particularly rare, I don't know how many were pressed. But it's one of those records that DJ's tend to totally destroy so finding in good condition is extremely difficult. It's been on my wishlist for probably 6 years or so.

This is LTJ Bukem - Logical Progression from 1996, only ever pressed that one time.

LTJ hit the huge time with this album, this became a whole series that was world famous and really started the "Liquid D&B" sub genre.
A friedn of mind is a producer and back in the day they did a remix for him, but he never paid them. Apparently he quickly became known for welching on his debts, and from what my friend told me, it got so bad he literally had to run and hide in Russia back in the early 2000's and was releasing all his stuff from there. I see he's now touring the UK again, so hopefully he's mended fences, he is definitely a true talent.

I was already into old school Jungle at the time I heard this, I was actually on a night out with a friend in a small surrey town, and we passed a club called Bojanglez in Guildford which was such a B-rate club, and there was LTJ headlining this album with MC Conrad (RIP). It was one of the best nights of my clubbing life.

MC Conrad who featured on the Progression Session series was one of the most iconic MC's in the scene, he unfortunately recently passed away.
This particular record probably has a VG Sleeve, but that doesn't bother me, quite a bit of edgewear but otherwise ok, but the records are extremely good, probably EX+. There is a surface scratch on side A though but doesn't affect playback, I'm just seeing if the seller will reduce the price based on that.

But I'm definitely keeping it, such a fantastic album!

Nice one today, been after for a while, luckily grabbed the last copy from a UK supplier, these have been seriously popular

Bill Withers - Greatest Hits, this is the Mobile Fidelity version which has gained a bit of notoriety as sounding absolutely incredible. I'm a huge Bill fan, actually have an original of this so keen to compare it. Probably one of the greatest greatest hits ever made IMHO

SIO - Sarang

This is a South African artist, really cool, faily new to the scene, first time I've discovered her, but really like her style, very 70s flower power mixed with modern R&B

Really pleased with this one.

This is Sia's second album "Colour The Small One" originally released in 2004. It wasn't repressed until 2016, this being the first US copy from that batch, this is the white version, they did a black also.

Then they've just done a limited 2024 Record Store day one.

Out of all those, this particular copy is by a substantial margin the best of the lot, they didn't do many though and it's expensive to find in good condition second hand. The first pressing was HUGELY compressed, like it was simply a transferred MP3, the latest release is really poor too with lots of pops and really muffled sound and for some reason the UK releases in 2016 were not great either.

Found this ebayer in the US listing a couple of copies still sealed and at even less than most are selling them second hand. The barcode matched the 2016 white version, but was really sceptical so asked the seller to confirm that was a real photo of the item. They sent through additional photos which do confirm it.

So here it is, blown away by this.

Sia was first introduced in the wonderful Zero 7 and sang their big hit Destiny

It was particularly this track I was after, absolutely love this one

Have you seen, this broke streaming records within 12 days!

There's a lot wrong about Eminem, I'm not denying that, but given that he is now considered an "oldie" in the hip hop realm, he's still a headliner artist.
