Windows Defender.

then get a gin and relax
I also have now possibly worked out why there was possibly an issue with the NVIDIA password reset for some reason when searching forgot password there seems to be two different links on the same site? https://www.nvidia.com/en-gb/account/forgot-password/ that’s the one I used before and this one which I’ve just found https://login.nvgs.nvidia.com/en-US/profile-management/forgot-password. There is also a strange link that has reset Password that requires no details to be entered. https://www.nvidia.com/en-gb/account/reset-password/ . I’m searching this through safari on my iPhone which may explain the strange results but just want to make sure I’m using the correct links. Sorry for being a pain

You can tell they're official from the domain.

I remember a time when people told you to run a mile from WinDef and don't touch it, now it's don't use any others, just use WinDef.... how times change ;)
Yep MS got it sorted, now all they need to do is let me uninstall edge.............

I'm gonna give Brave a try for the next few days, have only heard good things about it.
I would avoid brave, Epic is pretty good.

Brave was caught autocompleting URLs of certain cryptocurrency sites with their affiliate links and profiting from it. A Twitter user discovered this when he tried accessing binance.us, which Brave filled with their affiliate link. This granted Brave commissions for every visit using the link. While this was not technically a grave privacy violation, it raises questions about the transparency of this browser.

Yeah, after looking at a few, I actually settled on Edge, it's come an awfully long way in quite a short space of time and ticks everything I'm looking for.

It has, it was sort of forced to.

two important bits are its integrity guard and code guard.

most browsers are actually okay, it’s the users that are the risky part.

That and very few places tell you what addons or browser extensions should be enabled and what should be turned off.

some of the concerning things (if people get concerned) are things like NSA Prism and website owners.

Thank you guys for this discussion. Previously I used to scream and pull my hair off the head when heard people using IE, but tried Edge yesterday evening and got so excited that I've wiped all data in my FF and completely got rid of it. I'm officially now with Edge on my Win10 laptop and Android smartphone now - all synced and works smoothly. Very happy.

If you have not already, it’s also worth looking at password managers such as Last Pass.

and of course 2FA on everything.

Thanks! Actually BitDefender, antivirus I'm using, has that as a built-in function with browser plugins so I'll look in to it. I remember using it previously but can't remember why I stopped.

I have 2FA on my major accounts: Google, MS, my work apps, FB, PayPal, but thanks for reminding, I may use for more.
