I don't think that is a rude email. This guy has been waiting a good while for something he's paid a lot of money for. Some of you PCS "champions" need to get a grip.

A good while? Isn't he in the fourth working day of a five day dispatch of an overclocked skylake build? Or have I misread things?

After waiting 14days.

But as people have mentioned EVERYONE not just PCS are having issues with the new skylake setup, so if you order your own parts and put it together yourself you will have exactly the same issue as everyone else regardless. Another post on here highlighted just how much of an issue it is, if I recall PCS have tried 3 sets of different RAM setups from different manufacturers and still not getting the quoted spec for the chips due to this issue. So, I would assume if it is not resolved it would end up being a bios upgrade, new motherboard revisions or something of the like. But until anyone knows more it is causing huge delays with all professional pc manufacturers.

Bare in mind, Amazon wont care there is a defect with the parts, they will just sell them too you anyway and have something in their t&c's that cover non refunds on the parts for some reason. So it is not unreasonable for PCS to be taking the time to resolve the issue to supply you a fully working machine as ordered, not a half job that does not do as quoted.

As a side note, if your fast track is not met, you get a full refund of it.

What I don't fully understand is how the Azure that was sent to eTeknix for review didn't have the 3000Mhz ram fault. Or if it did, how eTeknix didn't pick up on it?

To give a little background and answer some questions.

I first orderd on the 29th of july, then skylake came out, and i changed from the 4790k, to the 6700k.

This started their order counting again, i think thats acceptable really given such a large change.

This was completed on the 10th of august. So 18 days later and im still "in building".

Althought it felt a bit like highway robbery, on the 25th of august i upgraded to 5 day fast track, we are now 5 days on by the gregorian calander, (4 days by the pc specialist calander) and it seems somewhat unlikely i will get my computer on the next working day.

According to the pc specilaist calander i am now on my 15th working day and my status is "in building".

In actual fact i gave them their money 33 days ago, and my status is "starting to get cheesed off".

You seem to think you are the only customer of PCS? Or at least the only one that matters. The world does not revolve around you, sometimes in life (quite often in fact based on my long experience of it) you have to wait in line with other people whose need is just as great as yours. You can't have everything you want now.

Just put it down to sods law and be patient. You know fully well once you finally receive it you'll totally forget all the stress you've caused yourself. I'm usually the person that gets this much hassle when ordering what i think will be something straight forward. I've already lost 2 weeks from my first order to the most recent order (of the same laptop) finally getting processed. This was a mix up between PCS and Hitachi Finance and while not ideal it's not a life changing scenario and i haven't let it affect me as it's just a laptop. CHILL WINSTON.

You paid them 33 days ago, but as you said then changed the order, that's part of the reason for the delay. As others have said the industry as a whole is having issues, it's not just PCS or your build.

As for upgrading on the 25th I believe they don't count the day you upgraded as one of them. So it's been two days. If it takes longer than the 5 working days then they will refund the cost of fast track.

To be fair, Amazon are always really good with refunding. But thats a different topic entirely and still wouldn't solve the problem.

What I don't understand is why did they choose a downgrade when they have the same problem at 2666MHz and if they manage to fix the problem why don't they give the same product as in the review. I guess it's just convenient for them, i buyed from this company baset on theyr experience (award winning...)but I have to say from my own experience the custumer service is disappointing and i doubt I will buy from them in the future.

That's fair enough. But PCS aren't creating the faults here that are causing the delays. Any company you buy a PC with that motherboard/ram combo would be having the same issues.

But does sound their communication could be better.

image.jpg this is what I mean when I say disappointing, what's funny is the fact that you can still buy that RAM but not with this system because all z170 motherboards have the same compatibility problem, but I do not see the reason behind the reply.

That's not the point, thank you, I already knew that but I don't plan to use the Pc just for gaming.

Faster RAM makes very little difference in terms of performance. The only real difference used to be when gaming on an APU. Is that true for DDR4, I really don't know, but I can't see why it would change.

Hopefully a resolution is found soon, but cancelling your order and buying the parts from amazon will not help, you will end up with a headache to sort out when you run into the very same compatibility issues PCS are fighting with at the moment.

Only part of the reply was directed at you, the 2nd part was perhaps a little unclearly directed at the OP

Thank you for your advice, I knew all that but I could not understand why did they swap the RAM if that still doesn't fix the problem. I do not see that as a solution. If in the future we decide to make an upgrade to a faster RAM ? What then ? I hope the manufacturer finds a solution because the way I see it it's not a permanent solution, if you watch the video above you will understand. And the wait continues :)

They would release a bios update for the motherboard to fix the issue.
