It's not too difficult to be honest, the ML120's are a lot better but I know uniformity is important in these kind of things.

It would be an easy enough swap though you'd have to unmount the radiator to get at the motherboard headers

Agreed, the ML is a better fan than the LL, i would leave them myself, pretty sure the ML spin slower and are quieter for the given amount of air over the LL

I have recently set my ML's to white which lights up the inside of case well and let the front and rear do the funky stuff

But hey, each to their own and all that!

Agree with you both. ML are the better fan in terms of performance.

TBH, if it was an easier swap, I probably would have gone for it.

But I like the idea of turning them white @RichLan564. Will try that tonight. 😁

So I posted this in the Technical Support > Peripherals section of the forum but not had much joy in terms of responses so will post here hoping for better luck:

I have the TCA Thrustmaster Sidekick and Quadrant plugged in. They both work great with MSFS 2020.

However, when I have tried to play Hitman 2 and Resident Evil 2, I've run into problems.

RE2 - cannot get past the first setup screen in the game as no input from keyboard or mouse.

H2 - loads fine but character is constantly running and the camera view wants to keep on going up towards the sky.

And both games seem to think a controller is plugged in.

Now, I didn't try and just unplug the two devices to see if that makes a difference (dumb, I know! 🙄).

But I did disable them via Device Manager > Human Interface Devices > HID-compliant game controller.

And this resolved the issue in both games.

Of course, as expected, the devices no longer work in MSFS 2020.

My question is. Is there a way to fix this so I don't need to either (a) unplug the USB's or (b) disable via Device Manager?

;) the easy but lazy fix

Interesting. Will have a read tonight.

Assuming there isn't any other way other than unplugging or disabling?
No idea, i'm assuming the game is just randomly grabbing whatever it thinks is a controller, i'm sure there is a way round it, just don't know what

Probably less hassle to turn them off rather than unplugging every time if that's the way you go with it.

The controllers are controllers unfortunately. You would need to specifically set the controller in the game. With RE2, can you not use the Thrustmaster to enter the menu and select the keyboard as the input device?

If not, a USB switch (as suggested) or unplugging them would be the simplest option.

A more complex option would be to find the controller INI file for the game, opening it with it functioning the way you wish and saving a copy.... then opening it with the controllers enabled/plugged in and comparing the INI file to see if it can be manipulated to favour the previous controller options.

Believe it or not I had to do this quite regularly with the FSX configuration files, to get things working the way I wanted.

Thanks both.

@Scott in RE2, when I first loaded up the game, it comes up an initial setup screen to choose language, etc.. I didn't try using the Thrustmaster controllers but I definitely did not have any inputs from either the keyboard or the mouse. Hitman 2 was better as in it allowed inputs from keyboard/mouse but the mouse was buggy as well and the game kept switching between thinking I had a controller vs keyboard/mouse inputs.

The Sabrent option seems viable as we won't have to keep unplugging the USBs.

Is there much benefit in changing the cooler fans to LL120s for the extra RGB? With the 500D SE you can't see much of the RGB on the AIO fans anyway (at least I can't and my pc is on my desk)

You know....in hindsight, I should have just bought the x1 LL120 for the rear which is now installed and looks amazeballs!

I place the blame squarely on @Martinr36 shoulders. Looks like he and @Scott are in cahoots to make me spend £££

Anyone need x2 LL120s?

If your 11 year old is small and sits on a small chair, they might be able to see the RGB on the AIO better than I can. I bought an LL120 as an extra exhaust, but have yet to fit it.
