I don'[t turn my PC off, the monitor goes to sleep but that's it
Same here, though I do turn the monitor off because if it wakes in the night for any reason we can see the glow of the light. My wife hates light at night!

I also use nircmd to mute the audio at 11pm and unmute it at 7am so that we don't get woken by any notification sounds in the night.

Hi @Martinr36 and the rest of the gang.

Question. I've installed a LL120 as a rear fan. But where the heck do I plug it in?

Looking at the current setup, my understanding is as follows:
  • Yellow box: these are the two ML120s from the H115i cooler
  • Blue box: these are the three front LL120s
The Yellow box seems like the obvious choice and easy to reach as well.

Thanks @RichLan564. Glad I asked!

Assuming the unit in the Yellow box is just for the H115i fans?
Correct.

You will be able sequence the effects front and back if you use the blue connections, also as above the ML have less LED's than the LL, they will work on the yellow one but not properly

There was talk of the commander core (the H115 controller) getting a firmware update so fans could be mixed but it don't think it ever happened from what i can see.

Also make sure you have them in sequence, start at RGB hub port 1 for bottom front then up to 4 for rear

And I can re-plug the front three ML fans from ports 4,5,6 to 1,2,3 with the rear going into 6? Reason I said 6 is that I may replace the two MLs with LLs which can then go into ports 4 and 5.

Yeah plug them into the yellow one, that's the commander core, and when yo replace the existing cooler fans as you said you were doing just plug them to where they are plugged at the moment, hope that makes sense

Ah, OK, didn't realise the front were ML too, that changes things !

Hey now! Be nice....you know us Americans are easily confused and manipulated! LOL

Okay, @Martinr36. I've plugged the new rear LL into port 1 of the Commander Pro and plugged the RGB cable port 4 of the RGB Hub [Blue box] in the picture.

Replacing the MLs in the cooler seems like a faff TBH. Lots of cables squeezed into tight spaces so not sure how well I'll manage (if at all)!
