Come to think of it, the LL120s were your idea 🤔

Buying a set of three was mine....and now I've got two spares gathering dust!

5 minutes for an expert like you. More like 5 hours for a n00b like me.

I'm sure in the comings days, I'll get the itch and start tinkering. Just the thought of running the cables neatly is what really puts me off.

just run them back through where the existing cables are, which reminds me i bought some additional combs to go on my braided cables so i can tidy them up better although they are out of sight

I would have recommended buying the ML(s) rather than the LLs...... 😇

I would get the dummy RAM for the missing slots. I didn't bother personally but it's definitely an option.

There are still instances where dual DDR RAM is better than Quad. Quad does put more strain on the Memory controller and the VRM Controller chips, so you're definitely not at a disadvantage across the board. It's a little bit of swings and roundabouts still, but there are focused areas where 4 will help..... but only where the ranks match (don't go down that rabbit hole if you value your sanity).

Without a benchmark I don't think you would ever notice any difference. I personally keep 2 slots free in all my systems for upgrade purposes (and previously for performance gains). I still will in the future, but I'll be matching a dual rank kit to make sure I get the best performance I can.

I've been giving my mind treats for ages over an AMD build. I definitely think I'll be holding off for a while yet but given the RAM prices coming down slightly I am considering an additional 16GB kit to go in with my current 16GB. I'll get the lovely 4 slots filled with RGB, a bit of a performance boost and obviously the extra headroom with the new FS2020 sliders :)

Only been through Compton twice in my life. Both times lost with no satnav (talking late 90s). Was genuinely nervous and couldn't wait to find the freeway. 😂🤣
So where about in the US was home for you? Between playing a hell of a lot of GTA San Andreas, GTA 5 and American Truck Simulator, I almost feel like I know LA quite well.
