Before Windows, OS were command prompt style. Windows was named as such due to the Graphical User Interface being adopted and using "Windows" to show graphical representations of file structures etc. Everything within was opened in a Window, even the command prompt client.

I flew to Australia from the UK in around 2007 I think (could have been 2008, no idea), it was in the beforetimes when darkness covered the land. The stewardesses kept pouring me red wine for the entire flight, must have got through a good 3 bottles or so.
It was probably non alcoholic or something and I didn't notice.

maybe the reason why, from the article
from Beijing to Wenzhou Friday was told by airport security that she could not take an expensive bottle of cognac, which she had bought from the U.S., onto the plane in her hand luggage as it was over 100 ml.
the lady should have known the golden rule of being wasted on a plane "thy maketh sure its 99ml max before thy getith plastered

I was wasted but perhaps it was the altitude? There was some old dude being rather aggressive with his wife on the plane during the night while everyone was asleep. I stepped in until the cabin crew took care of it.are you sure it was non alcoholic
I wasn't stepping in out of any kind of moral highground, I was just looking for a good fight. I was really sad when they said he'd forgotten to take some medication which led to him becoming absuive. Even more sad that he remained nice and civil for the rest of the flight.
I don't miss those days.

fair point, i can see why you needed those 3 bottles of wine,
i drank non alcoholic beer once, woke up with a traffic cone on my head, I think it was the altitude
