We love you Ukraine
A friend was telling me about this place, it’s coal fired and cooked in beef dripping, desperately want to try itYou can't even get decent fish & chips in some major cities (unless you want to pay £50 in some celebrity restaurant). When I was working in London, I had to drive about 7 miles to get a 'fair' fish supper...all the ones closer did frozen fish with fries in a polystyrene box.
Seaside fish & chip shops are the best...but our couple of local ones (Liverpool, not London) have been complaining about the cost increases and passing them onto customers...whilst giving bigger portions...so I don't know why they don't go back to the smaller portions and reduce the price?
We order 1 large fish and a portion of chips between 2 people (costs £9.50), and there's usually about 1KG of chips left over![]()
