Yeah it is for loading purposes. You clearly havent played Skyrim on console though if your saying 5 seconds ha. Fortunately I also had it for PC but I watched a friend on it on 360 and the loading screen was actually sickeningly long.

It is there, I very much think, to fill in time while loading takes place. It's much better than a static screen and ticking dots, or another slideshow of GTA art. It's a nice touch.

I've seen some comments around the net about the driving and I don't know what anyone's problem with it is. I don't want the driving to be a simulation, I want it to be intuitive and fun, and it is.

I do agree the graphics quality does not surpass even some PS3 games. But they are good enough, and moreover the scale of the map and the immense variety of the content in the game's world is, to me, wonderful.
If it was re-released in the future with a significant graphics overhaul I would probably buy it again.

Bit late I know, but i thought this review of GTA 5 was funny.

GTA V? On pc?

hmmm interesting... Are we going to get a full DX11 version? or the console dx9 version? I ask as a family member was playing it recently, it looked nice "for console" but not a patch on an AAA DX11 PC titles.

I imagine it will be a good step up from consoles graphically wise. If you look at all the trailers and stuff before the release, they all look way better than the game does on consoles atm, which im guessing means they were showing pc/ps4/xbone gameplay.
