Hello everyone, I’m usually on a laptop gaming and decided I wanted to upgrade due to the laptop being rather slow from what I hear a PC can be these days and just wanted to see if anyone can suggest the best gaming PC for me and my needs, thank you in advance.

Games I would be playing potentially would be - assassins creed
Warzone
Old school RuneScape

Hi there.

What’s your budget, what monitor are you pairing this with, and any uses besides gaming?

My main piece of advice would be to hold off though. We are getting new CPUs and GPUs this year and you will be getting better price to performance if you can hold off a few months. If you are still getting a playable experience on your laptop I would stick with it for a little longer, it will work out better in the long run.

Hello, I am aiming for around £1500 but could stretch if it would help a lot in performance, currently I don’t have a monitor , I was hoping I could get some advice on that also?

Regarding other uses I would like to have to have the option of streaming/content creation in the future if possible?

I suppose I would be happy to hold off, I am really excited because it will be my first ever gaming PC but if it means getting more for my money in the near future I suppose it would be worth it, do you think it will make a huge difference if I held off for a little while?

Thank you so much

not only more for your money but more important it'll last a lot longer because it will be on the new platform and be supported longer

TBF prices for equivalent tier products (e.g. 5600 vs 7600X) may be a little higher, but you'll get better value, both in the short term and especially in the long term.

Yes, but this where people get confused.

The 7600x (around £300 who's direct tier equivalent is the 5600x) is likely to be around the same performance as the 5900x which is 3 tiers above it (and cost nearly £750 on release), and that's being very conservative with reports so far that it actually outperforms the 5950x which is substantially more expensive still

So you're getting far more performance at the same tier. So even if it costs £50 more at the same tier, you'll be getting far far more performance than that cost.
