Battlefield 4

A good deal of the time I spend as Recon is actually spent taking out opposition snipers, particularly on Rush maps. Always satisfying when you sweep around, aim at the head and just as you are about to fire, the poor chap or chapette swings in your direction with that telling glint of the scope, only to be popped off a split second later :D mwhahahahaa

Can't get over how good BF4 actually looks, looking on getting this tonight when I get paid from work! Anyone know if it's the same type of servers as BF3? Only cause my connections a load of crap atm (just waiting till we upgrade it) and I can still connect to BF3 servers with low ping, just my characters decides to ice skate into walls at times -_- Anyway if the servers are the same type then I should still be able to play it, if not single player it is till we upgrade! haha

Any body else game freeze if they are using any of the M320 ??

My game was just freezing non-stop yesterday so I came off and didn't bother again. Joined about 5 servers and all crashed within the first 2 minutes of being on them. I thought this was sorted now ><

I keep getting crashes but not to that extent. It's a good thing in my case because I'm getting worse and worse at this to the point it's getting on my nerves. The amount of times I open fire on someone only for them to respond and kill me instantly is getting past the point of annoying and the last two days have been terrible. Time for Arkham I think.

phew seems like I am missing most reported issues with BF4. The only issue I have is long range fuzziness causing god awful sniping attempts (honest).

I sniped someone in the bum yesterday when he was prone, and that sir is the God's honest truth.

He died. Surprised really, though he'd be able to get up and pwn me while I shot him a few more times.

My query is... I've never played Battlefield in my life (single player or multiplayer). How hard do you think it would be to get into it and have some fun without getting nailed every 5 seconds??

Honestly? Very. It takes a while to get used to maps, weapons and tactics (and killing) while having no attachments for the basic weapons. things start to get better when you unlock stuff to upgrade your weapons and after a while you get the knack and it's all worth it then. Stick with it and it becomes enjoyable (some of the time!).

Goes much much quicker if you have a mate on Mumble/TeamSpeak/etc... You can learn everything like 3 times faster.

Aiming and a bit of tactics come over time. It is defo worth it. Really good fun. Game rocks! By all means more refined game than BF3 ! :)

I've played the first mission on single-player and would say they've tried to make the physics as similar to multiplayer as possible meaning if you give the single player a go it should give you some good preparation for multiplayer.

It's not all bad online though, nowhere near as tough as something like Counterstrike to start playing and if you start BF4 now there's still tonsa noobs around. Join a big server (64 players) and you'll be able to get used to it in your own time without feeling the need to contribute to the team as much :) It's really not as tough to get into FPS's nowadays compared to games like CS or Quake were :D

You would probebly enjoy it more playing with others than on your own to begin with.

Like the others said, it goes quicker if you've got people you know to moan at (ideally not amazing players, when I started playing Halo on Xbox my friends that I used to play with used to tear it up killing all the noobs and letting me struggle along doing badly but when I used to play on my own I'd do much better).

You always have to start somewhere otherwise you won't do anything.

Right that's it. I'm going to start. Will spend a week or two nailing the single player to get going on the controls then enter multiplayer where, presumably, I'll be one of the best on the planet? Either that or I'll just snipe Boozad from 1000 paces...
