Result looks good. The only curious thing I could see is your CPU temperatures. I only ran stock at the very beginning when I got the system, I'm running a reasonable OC on the chip yet with a 360mm AIO I'm seeing 10 degrees less than your average.

Have you had a look at any of the cooler settings in iCue? I'm wondering if it's maybe running on a silent profile.

It's performing well, don't get me wrong, but I think there's a little bit of average CPU frequency on the table that's temperature related. The 7800X3D is very temperature sensitive so when pushing it with benchmarks etc it's worthwhile giving the cooling the beans.

PS. The RAM running at 6200mhz when you've purchased 6400Mhz is standing out for me a bit. I would drop it down to 6000Mhz as that gives you the best performance/stability balance. The 6400Mhz RAM is good to have to give you the cushion, but I still wouldn't push it past 6000Mhz without being experienced with the timings and memory overclocking options under the hood.

Yeah, it's around where it should be. There's definitely more in her though if the temps come down.

I would put it on extreme for a couple of benchmarks, just so that you can see the difference. Day to day I would go with Balanced but I would tend to do my own, as the standard profiles can be a bit choppy with their on/off nature.

With regards to the RAM. Just keep it in mind. As long as you don't get any more stability issues then all is good. I had perfect stability at 6200 and a good performance. I had OK stability at 6400 with reduced performance. It's a really strange memory controller, very sensitive... especially with the 7800X3D. I had to play with loads of settings to get it running well though.

Ok I’ll keep it at that,

Running another test now will drop results, got them on extreme

Curiously there isn't much change in the temps. There is a little bit, but not the sort of delta I would have expected with the difference in the fans. Balanced is definitely the way to go (or custom) :D

You can see a slight increase in frequency with the fans on extreme, that's what's giving the extra points. Notice that the peak went quite high on one of the runs (5.3Ghz, that's how sensitive the chip is to temps).

It's possibly explained with the fact that I'm using a curve optimiser to actually reduce the voltage at certain levels to gain more performance. May let my system run cooler.

There's only 8 degrees in it though so I would say everything is fine.

Just keep an eye on stability now. All looks good :)

Family friendly forum so I've edited your post, please keep in mind :)

I had a quick google with that there. Apparently there's a "Replay" feature in the Adrenaline software. If you switch that off it may solve the issue. If it doesn't, XMP needs dropped to 6000 IMO.

apologies I’m just so frustrated which I’m sure you can understand,

It’s 3 months old and this card is 2 days old as I bought a new one.

How do I change ram?

Instant replay has always been off

Your RAM is now sitting at 6400Mhz. Not sure why it would be different to the previous runs. That would suggest the issue to me. The CPU still appears to be performing well, the temps spiked a bit more but the avg frequency was still pretty good.

When rebooting the PC if you hit Del it should take you into the BIOS. The initial splash will tell you which button to press but I'm sure it's Del.

Once in there it's typically F7 to enter the more advanced screen. Go to AI tweaker and then set the Memory Frequency to 6000. Save that and come out.
