PCSPECIALIST So sons PC has arrived and it’s lagging

From my own experience, WIFI speeds Vs Ethernet (cabled) connection differ alot. My BT service allows me to receive a whopping 900MB/s if I am hard wired in. When I have tested the wifi option it is greatly reduced to about 100MB/s. It does sound as if it is an internet signal issue. If you are...

PCSPECIALIST Real Users' Benchmarks - Rank of PCS Laptops

Thanks @barlew I think the CPU is being throttled due to the temps on the CPU reaching 96C at stock, without overclock.... I may have to delve inside and perhaps re-paste with some grizzly.....did not expect to have to so soon lol....

PCSPECIALIST Throttlestop V9.4. FIVR Control Options Greyed out. Ionico 17. Intel i7 11800H CPU.

I read somewhere on the Internet that Intel have purposely locked 10th/11th Gen CPUs from under-volting to protect against 'Plundervolt'. This may explain why I am having no luck. Not sure how I would unlock that on a i7 11800H if I wanted to? I am sure others have managed to under-volt their...

PCSPECIALIST Samsung G9 on order finally!!!

I have this monitor and it is mahoooosive lol. Great for games such as Icarus, and even War Thunder is awesome with a wider aspect view. You are right in that it takes up desk space and speaker placement is tricky. Luckily I had the Sound Blaster Katana sound bar which actually sits great on the...

    PCSPECIALIST Ionico 17" RGB keyboard

Hi Vak, welcome to the forums and congrats on getting the Ionico Laptop (I also have this one). In Control Center, in the Light Settings, you can adjust all of the RGB functions and as SpyderTracks has noted, turn them all off. Enjoy your laptop!

PCSPECIALIST Throttlestop V9.4. FIVR Control Options Greyed out. Ionico 17. Intel i7 11800H CPU.

So the Tech Support guy I spoke with could not help, saying that any under-volting would void the warranty. He said that a BIOS update would not help and that the BIOS was locked for a reason. Personally, I am not convinced he actually gripped what I was asking but I am back to the drawing board.

PCSPECIALIST Throttlestop V9.4. FIVR Control Options Greyed out. Ionico 17. Intel i7 11800H CPU.

Hey folks. My laptop spec is in the sig block. I have studied Macco's video about 'under-volting' and have downloaded Throttlestop V9.4. As the title suggest, the FIVR controls in the centre column are greyed out. I read on Google that this is a BIOS issue and that it is locked in the BIOS. My...

PCSPECIALIST Real Users' Benchmarks - Rank of PCS Laptops

Hey folks, Merry Christmas. I did a 3DMark test today with just a tweak to TGP and Dynamic Boost. A decent score, but I see there are better scores out there for lower spec cards. Impressive! Anyway, here is my score. Thanks for any feedback :) https://www.3dmark.com/3dm/69709174?

PCSPECIALIST Solved. Corsair DDR4 2666MHz DRAM Frequency reported as 665.1 MHz in CPU-Z?

Update. It would appear that CPU-Z is flawed in some way (read on another forum with similar issue). I downloaded HWinfo64 which showed 1333MHz which is correct (always .5 for DDR). I hope this helps others in not freaking out when they think their RAM is faulty. Cheers, Wolf

PCSPECIALIST Solved. Corsair DDR4 2666MHz DRAM Frequency reported as 665.1 MHz in CPU-Z?

Hey PCS Forum gurus and Happy Saturday. As per the thread title, my new Ionico Gaming Laptop reports DRAM as below and different to what it should? I have taken some screen shots of what CPU-Z reports and am hoping someone can reassure me this is normal or if I need to tweak anything to ensure...

PCSPECIALIST Ionico 17 Gaming Machine. High Spec.

Hi folks, I recently purchased this beast of a laptop for gaming, attached to my Samsung G9 49inch Ultrawide Monitor. I bought another laptop cooler from Amazon as the Coolermaster one purchased was not very effective for this type of machine. It gets HOT! I will try another thread to talk about...
