Its a good solid build that should last in future with maybe a graphics card change in future. For 1080p gaming its pritty much top end . I personally would not use the cases on the smaller side they are pritty bad thermally especially in the summer months when average room temp rises

Not to knowledgeable on linux unfortunately but I do think the onboard graphics may struggle in gaming at 1440p onboard to me is more directed at 1080p
