new audio production workstation

hi all

I recently placed an order for a custom threadripper 3960x build mainly for audio production and video editing, with a little gaming chucked in on top as well, graphics card is a 3080ti.

I'm wondering whether i might have gone overboard on the cpu basically. since ordering i've been looking at the ryzen 9 5950x and wondering whether this would have been a better choice for the cpu considering some recent comparisons i've seen of this and the 3960x.

has anyone got any experience in using either of these or both in an audio production setting ? i'd be keen to hear any thoughts !

thanks in advance !
