The Iiyama is a 34in 1440p ultrawide 144hz screen. Same as the BenQ and LG you mentioned but for £400 instead of near £600. Aren't they? IPS screen as well instead of the VA panels of the other 2. Iiyama also do a curved VA version for about the same price as the IPS one.
Well with the new cards and the new generation of consoles being released 4K will become much more popular so will probably come down in price or else the 1440p stuff will do as everyone will be looking for pretty pictures.
I did ask PCS this question before ordering my Nova as a future upgrade question and the answer was no, 2666mhz was the max the mobo could take. If it can do faster then that would be a nice bonus.
Iiyama have a 34" 1440p 144hz IPS superwide for £400. It's gsync compatible AFAIK. There have been some reports of QI issues so maybe get a pixel check warranty with it...
I had that dilemma to as the Nvidia announcement came a couple days after I ordered my Nova but figured it's going to be at least 6-9mths before manufacturers catch up, espcially a custom builder and the cost and stock levels will probably be high and low respectively.
I had the same dilemma when I got my new laptop and decided to settle on 1440p for the extra pixels. I've just ordered this Dell for £340 delivered (there are some discount codes floating around)...
Just to confirm this is what I ordered with my machine.
1st M.2 SSD Drive
1TB INTEL® 660p M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD (up to 1800MB/sR | 1800MB/sW)
1st M.2 SSD Drive
1TB PCS PCIe M.2 SSD (2000 MB/R, 1100 MB/W)
I ordered this config purely as a cost decision as I didn't think the Samsungs were worth it...
I ordered my Nova with 2 NVME SSDs. An intel in the 1st slot and the PCS one in the other. So far after 10days use it has been fine. I've got the latest BIOS the other day from PCS installed and using the latest drives downloaded from PCS. I didn't bother using the ones that came on the CD.
Recieved this just over a week ago after a 1 week build from order to dispatch.

Yeah, I received the email today after speaking to support on Friday. Brightness adjustment now working. Only difference is the spalsh screen in Post no longer says PCS.
If you press F7 instead of F2 you go directly to the boot manage screen. Found this out when I spoke to PCS support on Friday as I was having the same issues.
I received my Nova last week and had the same problem with the screen brightness. Called them up on Friday afternoon and the support guy said he would email the person responsible for sending out bios updates and get him to check and send me an updated bios if available.
Received email today...
I'm not fussed about retaining the use of the license I just want to sell the laptop as complete with OS. In this case a full reset of windows ie deleting my user profile. This should be sufficient?
Thanks. One of my PCs is a laptop that came with an 'OEM' license as such. If I sold/passed the laptop onwards would the laptop link the license to the next user who signs in with a Microsoft account or would I need to deregister it?
Hi
I'm about to receive my new PCS laptop in a couple of days and will be transferring a current Win 10 license over to it. I have several computers that have Win10 licenses that I sign into via my Microsoft account. If I log onto my new laptop with my Microsoft account, how will it know...
