Me too.
I was expecting there to be a problem with 3080 availability, so it was almost a pleasant surprise for it to be the power supply (easily upgraded for another £29). Ordered on November 7, now forecasting build on November 30. Given the reported problems with 3080, I will take that...
Hi
I am soon to order a new custom PC.
However, I have an existing PC with a 256GB SSD and a 1T HDD full of pictures and documents, etc. that I don't want to lose.
How easy is it to remove the SSD/HDD from the old machine and add into the new machine?
Do I need to ask PCS to add in some...
Hi
This is for a gaming PC that will also be used for photoshop (just still photo editing, no video editing).
Monitor is 27 inch, 1440p, 144Hz, 1ms, ISP. Have gone for ISP for better colours for photo editing.
A few questions:
* CPU: 3800X vs XT. Is the extra “T” worth it? Appears to be an...

I have seen a few posts refer to this site. Just checked it out, and it is very helpful. Especially if you broadly know what you want, and want to compare various monitors side by side. You can compare up to four monitors at a time so can whizz through...
Ah. Crossed-wire I think. There is only space for one 24/27 inch monitor. Not two.
But thanks. Have spent the afternoon reading DisplayNinja and looking at 1440p and 4k displays. The 4ks are both mouth-wateringly beautiful and eye-wateringly expensive.
Thanks Scott. My current monitor is Iiyama and I have been very happy with it. I had originally considered a 3070, had only removed as it seemed over-specced. Will put it back on the list.
I think a 49inch monitor (2x what I use at the moment) might be too extreme, but maybe (given my...
Thanks, Gavras! Some great links. I will continue my research.
Just to clarify though ... you are suggesting £2000 on the PC and £1000 on the monitor. I had not considered that ratio, so thank you. That must put us into 4K display territory and 3000 series / Big Navi graphics. I hadn't...
Thanks Spidertracks. I hoped that would be the answer, but after four years to suddenly to develop an independent fatal fault seemed unlikely. I will continue ... if it happens again, I will report back.
I am planning my next gaming PC, and am starting with the monitor, as this is the main piece of kit that I will be interacting with. Total budget is £3,000 of which, I am expecting to pay up to £600 for the monitor.
This is going to be primarily for gaming, and a little photo editing (but no...
About 30 mins into playing RDR2 (and only 8 hours into the game as a whole), my PC suddenly switched itself off. On reboot, the graphics card was dead. Everything else was fine. Swapped out the graphics card and is all is good.
The graphics card was a GTX 970. It was just over four years old...
