Sadly the automated email system cannot cope with the long lead times for the 3080 (and other parts). Browsing through the most recent pages of comments will suggest that wait times are 60+ days depending on what you ordered and what PCS are able to get.
Hang on in there ... it will arrive...
Back in November (about the 25th), some of us in the queue at that time got an Email saying that the 850W power supply was out of stock and we needed to change. I remember there was a scramble to get the 1000W. The 850W appears to be back in stock (website has it listed in the picker)...
Does anyone know if the Samsung M.2 SSD 980 Pro comes with a heat spreader or not? There doesn't seem to be an option on the configurator.
I have read various articles about M.2 drives getting very hot under load and can need a heat spreader. I am planning to use the M.2 for hosting the OS...
I ordered about the same time, and have also looked through the options.
It may also depend on which is the most important part of your question. Is equivalence more important than availability?
6800XT is the AMD equivalent. As other's have indicated, there is a queue for that too.
2070 will...
That is a fantastic looking machine. My envy is painful. I am seriously tempted to cancel my order, save up some more money and buy a liquid cooled machine in a year's time. By which time they might have fixed the bugs in Cyberpunk too.
But I am 31 days in and hopefully over halfway so will...
This will not be a popular post, but for those interested in the ongoing delays ...
A few weeks ago, one of the regular contributors listed out some of the component supply problems. Looks like there is another one to add to the list. ABF substrate is a chemical used in the manufacturing of all...
Not sure where best to post this, feel free to move if in the wrong place.
Looks like NVIDIA are giving a technology update in on January 12, 2021.

NVIDIA announced today it’s planning...
On my second Palit GTX 970 (first mysteriously died shortly after I started researching the 3000 series ... I am guessing it died of a broken heart). The 970 was state of the art in 2015, although I waited until 2016 to upgrade to it. Currently working my way through RDR2 and it all looks great...
NVIDIA CFO presented at the UBS Technology Conference yesterday. Here is a snip from the summary:

Near-term, NVDA continues to face supply constraints similar to others (MRVL, etc..) that includes not only wafer and substrate capacity, but more recently leading edge test and assembly...
The other option is that we share here (on this thread) information about order dates, build/test dates, delivery dates, place in the queue etc.
In the absence of regular and accurate information from PCS*, this community can help itself by pooling its knowledge and information.
No one has acted...

Knowing your position is some queue isn't going to get your order built one second faster, nor does it tell you anything useful - because you don't know when the next delivery of parts will arrive, how many units will be in there, nor even whether one will be allocated to your build...
That is a very helpful update. My spec is very similar to yours and I placed my order three days later than you. All things being equal, my PC will be coming in Feb+3 days. I am sure it will be worth the wait.
Fingers crossed it arrives before the daffodils.
Niche question here for the chip geeks ...
From reading various media reports, I noticed that both the 3090 and 3080 have 28 billion transistors. Which seemed initially odd as as they have different specs
3090 3080
CUDA Cores 10,496 8,704
Tensor Cores 328...
Great to read that the 3080 queue is progressing.
I am curious ... what is the first game you are going to play to demonstrate the full awesomeness of your new rig. I am currently playing RDR2 on a GTX930 and am expecting a significant improvement.
