I second that!! Nice to find people so helpful, nice and informative. I really appreciate all the help with my PC, monitors, cables, ISP and education I've had in a short space of time on these forums.
I have no information to go by, but I'm on the same working days and have never been told the end of the week. Disappointing you have been really.
My build date is July 1st for a custom desktop.
Here's an excellent guide! https://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/forums/threads/desktop-building-guide-may-2020.67892/
You would want an M2 drive is one change I know. If you let people know your budget and also importantly what monitor you plan to or want to use, that will help.
I'm on 19th working day and have been given an estimated build date of July 1st. Some that ordered the same day are two days ahead of me and some are two days after.
I have days when I'm not really bothered about it and then today I just wish it was here. But just got to wait and manage with my...
It really is a great community!!
There's been a few hardware updates since you enquired I think. Nothing to worry about, but before you order you could get the usual experts to look over your build again for anything that might be beneficial.
It's very different and you should wait for the custom.
There's a guide on here which might help you understand the differences and why it's better to wait.

There will be people on here with real, qualified advice. They might say a PC is still better. Are you basing on your PC budget on how much a PS5 costs?
Yes you will need to spend that much is the general advice on here. The 3300x is currently not in stock and new GPU's come out in September possibly, so you could try again nearer then maybe as the 3300x will be back in stock Id guess and the current GPU's will be cheaper.
How much is a PS5?
You'll get great help on here. If you haven't already give this a read as it will give you a better understanding of things, it certainly did for me. But others will definitely help you to perfect your build.
