Hi John!
As Spydertracks said you'll lose your warranty if you don't ask directly to PCS for the BIOS update.
Just contact them using your personal account interface and ask for any bios update.
They will send it to your email. Follow the upgrade procedure thoroughly and if you are unsure about...
Few days ago I've asked to PCS if there's any new BIOS for the Vyper III.
They replied after just 12h to the initial enquiry. Two days later they've replied and sent me a new BIOS, the 1.08 to be precise.
Which is nice!
I wonder what are the changes in v1.08 as there's no changelog in the zip...
Hi everybody,
I'm evaluating the option to sell my Vyper III.
Don't get me wrong, I love it and it's a beast of machine. Very customisable in terms of settings, voltages, clocks. Great thermal and performance.
This is just an idea and I'd like to gather some information and ideas about it.
The...
Hi,
I have a Vyper III, it should be the same system as your despite having a different chassis (TongFang if I'm not wrong).
I am not sure if MUX is related to power profiles. MUX is the hardware capability to switch between the iGPU and dGPU at hardware level, turning electronically off one...
@barlew
Yep, I'll post a picture of my display this evening. So far I've very low bleeding (few spots) concentrated in the lower portion of the display.
Sides and top are completely clean.
That should work as HDMI and USB-C are managed and hardwired to the Nvidia GPU.
On my Vyper when you connect an external monitor it automatically switch to dedicated GPU option only.
But I suppose Macco was lookng for that to use the dGPU even when on the internal display, which in this moment...
I didn't explain myself correctly. My bad!
I was referring to Advanced Optimus which I think Ionico has this feature.
https://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/5097/~/nvidia-advanced-optimus-overview
Should be linked to BIOS support so probably you won't have this option showing at...
Keep us updated Macco, finger crossed about any update on MUX feature.
I understand it's a deal breaker not having the option in the BIOS and also having it disabled on some laptops and not on others.
Not very good strategy on the TongFang side to be honest.
Did you check what option do you...
I was waiting for your review mate about the new Ionico.
Great job and lot of details in your analysis. I really liked it.
And I didn't knew you had such good YT channel! You've got a new subscriber! ahah
The new control center is totally another story compared to the old one, as the latter is...
Quick update about the battery issues.
Turned out the battery gone faulty and no matter what I've tried to revert it to its original specs, it didn't work.
So I've decided to contact PCS and explain in detail what happened, what I did and the issue itself
We exchanged few emails and did some...
Hi all,
in the attempt to optimise further my Vyper III I was wondering if I need to install the touchpad drivers from my personal admin area on PCS website.
Since I received the laptop I've never installed them.
Honestly, the installation is quite cryptic, looking at the attached instructions...
Hi Martin,
thanks for your message.
I'm aware of coursethat installing a new bios without PCS consent will void the warranty and I wasn't going to do that, as I have Gold warranty I don't want to waste it.
However I was curious to discover if there are any new bios updates for the Vyper and...
Hi everybody,
hope you're doing good.
I was wondering what is the latest BIOS version for the Vyper III series.
My current bios version is 1.06.
Watching some videos in the past months I discovered other equivalent of Vyper III in US has two features enabled in the BIOS, in the Advanced tab...
Thank you Barlew
Let me be more clear.
If there's an issue with the cooling system (bad paste job, bent heatpipes, stripped screws to fix the cooling system), bad software optimisation, bad UEFI/drivers or something similar, undervolting or lowering/limiting the amount of power isn't the...
If in conjunction with a full GPU load it could be possible, as they have shared heatpipes. Far from ideal of course, so abnormal, but it depends on the point of view.
It's below 10C the TJMax so it would be perfectly acceptable from the thermal design standpoint.
The problem isn't only the CPU...
