I've been enjoying my new build for about a week, and thoroughly enjoy throwing ultra settings at it, and watching it handle with such ease!
I am concerned, however, at the temperatures my 5950x is hitting. The spec is:
Corsair Obsidian 500D RGB SE
Asus Crosshair VIII Hero
Asus ROG Strix 3090...
So, I work in IT, then spend my evenings doing web design / photography editing, with a spot of gaming. This means I spend waaaaay to long sat down. I'm developing back ache, and my posture needs correcting.
I've done a fair bit of research, and am almost set on the Herman Miller Logitech...
So, after a brief wait, my new machine arrived. Hats off to PC Specialist, I'm comfortable building machines, but I couldn't cable manage as well as the finish here. I'm very impressed, with only a few noise / fan curve issues to iron out. I also hadn't realised that this build doubles up as...

I’ll order this and return if I don’t get on:

That's helpful insight, thanks.
In terms of games, Forza, Dirt, Call of Duty, I guess? I need to learn to use a keyboard and mouse rather than the xbox controller, otherwise I'll get looked down upon! :D
If you can see Strix now, there is nothing stopping you from amending you order, and paying the 'strix tax' - it'll cost you more, but thats the price you pay for the highest spec.
Evening all, not too sure if this is the most appropriate place to post - feel free to move it not.
I'm an IT manager by day, web designer by evening, and looking to get into a bit of gaming too once the new build arrives in a few days time (5950x, Strix 3090 etc)
I was about to order a...
