The thing is, this laptop isnt really geared up for gaming (caveat~ depends what games you want to play though), It has an onboard graphics/CPU combo which will be able to do some gaming but nothing major.
@SpyderTracks is your man ref audio, standard soundcards are fine these days, unless you are going down the proper audiophile route then you could invest in a DAC
@kyleknight everyone here wants to make sure that you are 100% happy with your purchase, if you are already tweaking your build then you might as well lets the gurus have a look at your build to see if there are any major foopahs.
I might have upset my PC, but if I make any changes in Control Center ref power plans, it makes zero difference (checked with CPU speed in HWMonitor). Mine only alters if I actually use Windows to change the power settings, balanced should give your ears a break.
Deffo think your GPU should be getting better numbers than that, as a comparison I've just ran Time Spy on my rig (Laptop 2070, non super) and managed 8110 GPU score. However, I've noticed that the scores can fluctuate by as much as 3-400 points or so between runs.
Yeah it does fill me with joy, a Samsung program that can detect it's own drive, yet can do sod all with it (incl health stats, which is fairly helpful)
Hate to say it mate, but give it a reboot.... Mine was complaining that I had dared to open Origin from "elsewhere" i.e. the Epic Store installation files. If you have it in your Epic account then just open Origin and it should download
