The media part is specifically for Giphy gifs, so I thought those were the only ones supported, had no idea you could add a gif to the standard images one.

As above, you're talking about encryption, nothing to do with enabling TPM, you're talking about bitlocker which is something entirely different.
Bitlocker would only be enabled if you specifically enabled it yourself, plus you'd need a windows pro license to have bitlocker.
Just to warn you, this is impossible UNLESS the CPU is thermal throttling / power limited so heavily that it's clocking right down. You're unquestionably not getting anywhere near available performance.

That wasn't what was being highlighted, you'd stated it would give you the option to erase all data, that option only shows for a windows reset, weather you run that from windows itself or a USB is irrelevant, it won't actually delete any data in a secure way.
