We had zero clue what MAX budget he had, and we'd already specifically asked and not had a response, so I was asking for the lacking information, otherwise how do we know if it's the best it can be or not?

So in terms of the quality and performance how does the radeon compare to a nvidia 5070 ti or 5080

The 5080 would be a waste of money for your 1440p monitor.

The 5070ti is only worthwhile if Ray/Path Tracing is mandatory, in my opinion.
@SpyderTracks can give you much better advice because he owns an ASRock 9070XT Steel Legend. :)
